CCTV5 (not +) will broadcast badminton from 2 to 6 today. Another source will be needed to watch the MD final and maybe even the conclusion of the MS final.

I know right, Chen Long is such a private person, that's why he didn't tell Lin Dan about his injury. Such an admirable player.

China has assured 2 titles through WD, MS and possibly may add 1 more if Li Xuerui gets triumphant here. INA has two final representatives by their always dependable shuttlers Ahmad/Natsir and Ahsan/Setiawan.

XD, Reginald Lee Chun Hei/Chau Hoi Wah (HKG) v Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir (INA)
    H-2-H stats : 0-2
It's tricky opponent for more fave INA pair as described by their two previous meetings, however slight advantage for Ahmad/Natsir to nail first ever Asian Champion title. Natsir had won before, partnered with Nova Widianto in 2006 edition.

WS, Li Xuerui (CHN) v Ratchanok Intanon (THA)
    H-2-H : 7-2
First meeting in this year between two players, both Li and Intanon spent lots of energy yesterday to eliminate Wang Yihan and Tai Tzu Ying respectively. Fitness level may play the issue in this final tie, these two finalists may meet once again at upcoming Sudirman Cup group stage match.

WD, Wang Xiaoli/Yu Yang (CHN) v Ma Jin/Tang Yuanting (CHN)
    H-2-H : 3-0
Ma/Tang has chance to win the macth against the more established Wang/Yu. The former champion still not yet on their best form and battled tightly to overcome Matsutomo/Takahashi at last four, long duration 88 mins match.

MS, Tian Houwei (CHN) v Lin Dan (CHN)
    H-2-H : 0-4
Last meeting was MAS Premier QF early this month when Tian HW took one game from badminton maestro Lin Dan, too bad the top-seed Chen Long conceded walkover and deny interesting final duel between them. Two times Olympic Champion will eye his 4th Asian Champion title here.

MD, Lee Yong Dae/Yoo Yeon Seong (KOR) v Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan (INA)
    H-2-H : 5-3
Save the best for last, the organizer arranges today's most exciting final clash as last match. Lee/Yoo has pretty smooth path en route to final round while Ahsan/Setiawan got more tougher road even almost knocked out at last eight contra home pair Liu/Qiu. Who will win this time?

the broadcast is always not reliable. They can stop it anytime at 3pm or 4pm without a pre-notification. Let's see how it goes later.

Absolutely . it does not matter whether fans pay and spend their time expecting match. Also it doesn't matter because badminton is a competitive sport which will have all the money without fans support . it is indeed natural and unavoidable .

Whoever it is, he/she needs to do more to keep this event relevant in this age. Mass non-participation harms BAC's image.

Zhang Sheng played for China as a junior together with WZM in Pune in WJC 2009. He reached the third round of the boys' singles event. Subsequently he played for his province and then faded into oblivion.

The industrialization of the sports incl. badminton will eventually bring about its tolls.

And with so many tournaments, IMO the meaning and significance of each tournament is also deflating, leaving only several tournaments that still maintain their paramount attractiveness (CUPS, WC, SSP, etc). The rest is just the endless attraction/amusement/entertainment/distraction/anything that fits one's perspective... the commoditized ways with their own consequences, seen or unseen...

This kind of nature happens on everything that goes into the "mass production" ways :D and human is just insatiable creature...

How is he bothered by China successes ? Please stick to objective rather than being hopelessly subjective.

Judging from LD’s performance yesterday it will be near impossible for THW to defeat him today. My pipe dream, however, will be for THW to transform himself into a sledgehammer or better still a pneumatic drill to smash the hard rock that is LD into pieces. That will do a lot of good to lift his career to the next higher level.

Please kindly remember to share any link to the live streaming of today’s matches.
