qiute surprise there's no Simon and Tommy... from PBSI twitter, they put Edi/Glo and Ketut/Melvira as sparring partner..
I think this particular question about why Tommy and Simon no playing in sudirman cup has been asked many times. Yes the main reason here is Tommy and Simon have already quit the national team. They are now independent players in their own. Thus, they will not play in sudirman cup. Therefore, they will not participate in any team event. However, they can still participate in any individual event they want.
That's absolutely true.. Although INA only need Towy/Lily to win against Den/Eng Gloria/Edi are surely better backup pair
Well I am worried about INA team this time.. They lack a good WS for a long time now and whatever happened with tommy is another set back.. I don't why but I always find Polli/Maheswari beatable and if the schedule line up the singles event before the doubles matches.. Then the probability of Polli/Nitya end up loosing increases

INA has decided to expose their young MS players which is a good move. They need to be exposed to tournaments anyway. If not now then when? Indonesia have very strong MD, WD and MX so they can win in the doubles department. I am sure that the Indonesians will be able to top the group match. I have confident that Nitya Krishinda Maheswari/Greysia Polii and Anggia Shitta Awanda/Della Destiara Haris can win and they have won in many matches before.
Me too, the winning chance for INA team v JPN, KOR and of course title holder CHN are pretty slim as they have better MS, WS and WD than INA. Practically INA will rely on their doubles disciplines to score point.
