He is using a new Calibre: S Tour. Not due for release until August ... I agree they can do some more work on the player intros; japanese tv style would be the best but that is probably not going to happen. Probably not going to happen period for fear of claims of false advertising (in some cases)

It's so frustrating watching this pair play. They are so much better than their win record suggests. Why do they always fail at the last hurdle? It must be something to do with their mentality, they seem to mentally run out of steam very quickly. Start strong, finish weak. IMO they could have beaten Bo and Mo at this years AE.
To me, I think this pair should split. If they can't win, pair them with someone else. Even though they won the Thomas Cup, they still don't look like a pair who can win meddles.
Nah, problem is that their game is wholly dependent on strong physical plays and they can't maintain that into the 2nd and 3rd games. If they can fix this, they can progress further.
Hayakawa always seems to be the weaker link to me when games reach the pressure stages. Hopefully he can overcome this one day and I'm sure they'll win a super series!
Agree. Given their level of play, they should be able to win tournaments but iirc their title win record is surprisingly low. IMO, they always falter at the last 50m. It is really frustrating to watch them so near yet so far away from winning that elusive SS. I feel that they do not have a very lethal smash, to kill off the point. Not sure if this could be potential weakness...
These guys are like lightning on court, I'm not quite sure what goes wrong for them in the late game. I really want to see them win, they're my second favourite pair after LYD/YYS.
i'm back in bc forum after... 4 years!!! did anyone watch their match in the recent OUE Singapore Open 2015? felt it was quite a pity they lost it in the semi-finals to pratama/suwardi as they had a really good chance in attaining champion in this SS tournament...
Hiroyuki Endo & Kenichi Hayakawa are now No.1 in the SuperSeries rankings. I believe this is the first time a pair has topped the SS rankings without ever winning a SS. They have the same points as Boe and Mogensen. And, of course, the Danish pair has won aplenty!
Clearly demonstrates how consistent they are with the tournaments they play! 2 QF and 2 SF isn't too bad of a start to the first leg of Super Series tournaments this year. But with only 4 of the 12 Super Series contributing towards the ranking, it really doesn't mean much.

Endo seemed to have injured himself while playing against the indo pair. Anyone knows if the injury is severe?
Shet... He is one of my favourite. I guess it's the Japanese culture to fight until you drop completely.
