Danish players also concentrate on badminton at a later age than Chinese players.

After being in a cast, I would not be surprised if it took 4 months to reach a good physical condition. It would need an additional 2-3 months to get to match fitness. There is a tendency to overtrain and many small niggling muscles injuries can get in the way of the rehabilitation.

Once injured its hard to come back in game specially Badminton with such high Intensity of games.
One more good Chinese badminton player is out of Injury.... XLR (out) She will loose world title #1 to Saina finally. Would really commend Saina's fitness where she's been outplayed all Chinese badminton players who mostly got injured and left Badminton forever.. and she still remains.

    Xin Wang(out)
    Lin Wang(out)
    Jiang Yanjiao (out)
    Yihan Wang(On-off injured)
    Sun Yu (On-off injured)
    XLR (out)

The Chinese women players needs to work out on body strengthening first..

According to Chen Jin, Li Xuerui's injury has recovered about 70-80% and in half a month's time or so she should be able to undergo more intensive training.

At the All England, LXR surprised herself beating Zhang Beiwen in R1 but in R2 against teammate Sun Yu, she still felt the pain in her leg towards the end of G2.

maybe LXR wants to remain at around WR No 3 spot for the better part of the qualification period.

I think all three, LXR, WYH and WSX want to stay at No.3 and let the other(s) take No. 1.

Justin, I've never come across this quote from Mahatma Gandhi. Thanks for sharing. I'll parrot this quote in my head the next time I'm 19 -18 down in a singles game and will try to extract the last ounce of will left in me to close out the game:). Cheers!

LXR has to play herself into form soon with the Sudirman Cup round the corner and the OG cycle starting next month.

LXR, be patient and steady. Believe in yourself, conquer yourself !

Because maintaining at the No.3 spot is much easier, especially if one has injury!!

Sudirman Cup cannot be the priority. Push too hard to early and reinjury can occur.

You have a point there. For herself, coming back from a long injury layoff, she wants to go slow and steady and peak at the right time.

The problem is LYB needs her to be at her best at the Sudirman Cup. This MAS PSS is not important before the OG cycle starts.

I forgot, the new OG qualification rule is max two spots per nation for the top 16.

Sudirman Cup is LYB's priority. He is counting on LXR's come back.

If LXR knows whose bread to butter, then ...

I was surprised to see how the coaches pushed Wang Lin back to court after she obviously broke something in her knee. It was very painful to watch, she could barely walk. I hope they changed this attitude inside the team.

Lu Lan too. Although its less due to their recovery regimes and more due to the enviable depth and machine like ruthlessness of CBA. I think more often then not they are cast away, and by the time they recover their understudy is already in the top 3.
