An indication that Team CHN is far from being ready to have a firm, confident start to the coming Olympic Qualification cycle, in effect still feeling their way about, testing and trying out prospective candidates.
Good to see Zwiebler taking G1 from LDK after a long time of injury. Hope he is able to keep it up through the whole match.
A rousing start for Xue Song, he's not in any way intimidated by his world champion cum world number one senior compatriot, duly knocking Chen Long off his perch in G1 in emphatic fashion, 21-14.
Chen Long's old bad habit, I supposed, slow to warm-up, a slow starter in tournaments/matches. Still, the start of G2 isn't much different, Xue Song still determined to steal a march on Chen Long.
Just when I thought Chen Long is beginning to assert his authority with 15-12, XS almost immediately pulls level, 15-all !
Currently sitting with much of the korean/ chinese squad watching Chen long/ Xue Song on court 5. This is awesome
With the olympic qualification cycle the time of internal overwalks esepcially in the CHN team comes back.... Hate it...
is good to see Marc Zwiebler back in action, kind of miss him though looks like he is about to seal the 3rd set and make it to R16 Lee Dong Keun Korea - Germany Marc Zwiebler 17 -21, 21- 19, 7 -14
There were less walkovers in the 2011/2012 cycle than in the 2007/2008 cycle. Hopefully, there will be even less this time.
After 95 minutes of play, Zwiebler won against LDK with 21 - 17 / 19 - 21 / 21 - 19. Typically Zwiebler - can't take a large lead home. It always has to be thrilling in the end -.-
I nearly suffered a heart attack just now. What this time again the Korean players lose most of their matches in the first round. First both the top women doubles from Korea got knocked out by China women doubles. Then Lee Dong Keun lose to another Germany player. Wow it seems that it is indeed a bad sign for the korea players ahead of Rio 2016 Olympics. Well, if the Koreans continue with such poor performance it is rather unlikely for Korea to get any medals in 2016 Olympics. Just like you I feel very sad. :crying::crying::crying::crying:
Ratchanok Intanon won the first match against Akane Yamaguchi. The score is pretty one sided too. She won 21-7. Wow amazing. What is happening to Akane Yamaguchi? Why she lost horribly in the first set?
I'm afraid you're too quick to jump ahead of yourself and only want to pick on a particular nation when , if you've been keeping your eyes and ears wide open the last couple of years, you'd have noticed similar kind of proceedings across the board for players/pairs of several nationalities whether the same or different. Anyway, this is only the All England and it's not even counted in the Olympic qualifying period. Relax.
Whoaa... what a nice surprise by Praveen Jordan/Debby Susanto to beat seed no 3 Xu Chen/Ma Jin. Very niceeee....
