Rosyita is more powerful than her partner, first ever GP Gold final for young Indonesians, knocked out first and eighth seed en route to last round, impressive! Yup, Hayom unleashed so many body and cross court smashes that created under pressure condition for one of title contender Son Wan Ho and the Korean couldn't develop his game plan. FINALS (12.00pm local time) => http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/s...A76ABB-4E06-4B9A-B398-555205B7748B&d=20150301 XD, Joachim Fischer Nielsen/Christinna Pedersen (DEN) v Mads Pieler Kolding/Kamilla Rytter Juhl (DEN) H-2-H stats : 1-1 All Danish affairs affirm their superiority in the absence of their arch rival CHN and INA pairs. Three players will play twice, Pedersen, Juhl and Kolding, who will get double joy? WS, Sung Ji Hyun (KOR) v Carolina Marin (ESP) H-2-H : 0-2 It's tough to predict, reigning World Champion Carolina Marin has extra motivation to nail her first title since extraordinary victory in Copenhagen last summer. MS, Jan O Jorgensen (DEN) v Dionysius Hayom Rumbaka (INA) H-2-H : 5-0 The limping head-to-head record obviously will favour Jorgensen to lift the trophy against underdog and nothing to lose Rumbaka. Both of them are aggressive players so it will be interesting to watch it! WD, Della Destiara Haris/Rosyita Eka Putri Sari (INA) v Christinna Pedersen/Kamilla Rytter Juhl (DEN) H-2-H : 0-0 It would be perfect ending if giant killer Haris/Sari could bag title here, let's see how their performance against the vast experienced Pedersen/Juhl. MD, Vladimir Ivanov/Ivan Sozonov (RUS) v Mads Conrad Petersen/Mads Pieler Kolding (DEN) H-2-H : 1-3 Three of their four meetings were finished in rubber so it's potentially close match between the two pairs with attacking smashes by tall players Ivanov and Kolding. It's disappointment for JPN camp as all of their shuttlers failed to bag final ticket, on the contrary Danish squad has opportunity to claim four titles.
Korean Player performance I will explain what is happening to the Korean players since that I am a Korean. Okay actually all the Korean players who played in this German Open used it as a warm up match before the All England Open. The Korean players will be able to gage their performance in the All England Open based on their performance in the German Open. I mean no Korean players will want to go for grand prix tournaments without giving their best as the player that lose will not proceed to the next round. So the ultimatum for the Korean players is to win every match they play. Yes, I must agree with you that definitely there are problems with the Korean players. It seems that they cannot win. Okay, Shin Baek Cheol is missing in action. Ko Sung Hyun will be partnered with Choi Sol Kyu permanently. Well we all know that Shin Baek Cheol is a good player. Ko Sung Hyun is not a very good player. He is poor in defence. He will also make lots of mistakes under pressure. So if the opponent wants to win they just need to smash at Ko Sung Hyun non-stop and hit the shuttlecock at Ko Sung Hyun then the pair will lose. Plus Choi Sol Kyu is not a good player during his junior time as he never won any medals before. So definitely we can rule out that the partnership of Ko Sung Hyun and Choi Sol Kyu is a failure. Choi Sol Kyu original partner is Kang Ji Wook but he is not included in the national team. That explains why Ko / Choi got knocked out in the first round. Then Koreans also never have good mixed doubles player. Last year Ko Sung Hyun / Kim Ha Na ranking rose up to no 6. However, they couldn’t maintain their momentum. The reason is Ko Sung Hyun. He is not a good player so both Ko Sung Hyun / Kim Ha Na got knocked out in the first round. Then Korea only have one pair of good men doubles who are Lee Yong Dae / Yoo Yeon Seong. Kim Ki Jung / Kim Sa Rang are not so good and their ranking in the world has dropped a lot. That is why they also lose in the quarterfinals. They don’t have the stamina to play long rallies and they will also make mistakes under pressure. Then Korea also never have women doubles who can be said as excellent or good. Lee So Hee / Shin Sheung Chan are former wold junior champions but when they play as seniors their performance is still unreliable. During the quarterfinals, I observed that both Lee / Shin makes lots of mistakes. Plus they are also not sharp at the net. They always send the shuttlecock out of the court. Then when they play long rallies they will tend to lose their points. They are also slower compared to the Vivian Hoo / Woon Khe Wei. Then they also don’t change their style of play and stick to the same game plan which makes them lose. They also looked tired and don’t have the stamina to sustain throughout the game. The Malaysians are different. They have lots of stamina and they are very fast. They compliment each other well at the court. Vivian did lots of high jump smash. The Malaysians are also very fast and they know how to find the opportunity to get the points. I see their style of play is like Goh V Shem / Tan Wee Kiong. They are becoming more like them. One jump smash from behind and another one cover the net. At the same time they also rotate and move round the court. The Malaysian play a very comprehensive attacking game and they go all out to attack. At the same time, The Malaysians also have good defence. When the Koreans smash at them, they are still able to hit back the shuttlecock same like what I see in Goh / Tan too. Malaysian players are good in attacking and defence. Then what about the Koreans, they only know how to attack and poor in defence. When they smash the shuttlecock will be returned back by the Malaysians. Then they are poor in defence. When the Malaysians smash, they are not able to catch the shuttlecock. Plus the Malaysians are sharp and accurate. They aim the shuttlecock nicely inside the box when they smash to gain points. There is also poor coordination between Lee So Hee and Shin Sheung Chan. So, the conclusion here is the Koreans are lousy. Then as for Son Wan Ho he is also not a good player although his ranking is high. That is why he lost to Dionysus Hayom Rumbaka. Then Lee Dong Keun is a lousy player totally not reliable at all. He lost all his matches in Thomas Cup 2014. That is why Lee Hyun Il still needs to play in the team events for Korea although he is old already because Korea really have no good men single players now. Korea also never have good women singles too. Their performance is unpredictable. They lose most of the time. Korea also has never enter the Thomas Cup finals before till year 2008, whereby they cheated and used a tactical plot to reach the finals after waited for 60 years. The strategy is to lose all the matches in the group and be bottom in the group to avoid meeting China. They succeeded to reach the finals but lose to China 0-3. Then in Thomas Cup 2014, when they cannot apply any tactical ploy or plan their game, they lose in the quarterfinals to Indonesia. I hope all these explanations are enough to prove that the Korean players are really having some problems now.
I understand your feelings.. But don't you think your post is little too much to read...?? !!.. Instead of a complete paragraph, you can list it out as some bullet points .. That would be easier.. Cheers..
SJH is fast losing the comfortable 8-pt lead, allowing CM to play a faster and more aggressive pace to close the gap to 14-16.
I can't help but say that Marin is wanting in on-court manners, often not properly returning the shuttle to her opponent but casually flicking it across the floor a short distance.
At 10-9 when CM's shot just tripped over the net, she actually complained to the referee that Sung didn't pick up the shuttle to return to her when CM herself was about to walk over to the net for it. Well, tit for tat but the referee would have none of it and signaled to CM to carry on.
