The main visual difference between the knee of TJY and that of LD is that LD had no tape or bandage or knee guard to indicate any sign of discomfort or injury.

And of course their movement on court. LD was able to move as normally as I could see. It was not easy for SK to match up but to SK's credit, he got into the rhythm and even out-maneuver LD at times.

Another thing, if Lin Dan wasn't bothered by injury problem, he won't pull out of the HK Open this week , but carry on to win more ranking points as part of his original plan this year, including qualifying for the Dubai SSF, and work towards reclaiming the WR1 position as he has stated.

    Exactly!

LD is still human and human beings do make mistakes here and there.

LD losing a match here and there is no big deal. So don't have to defend him and try to give excuses when not needed. We can see for ourselves. He blamed himself for not preparing adequately and I think that is a fair statement.

On a bad day, we have seen LD being defeated by relatively lower-ranked players in the past. So nothing shocking.

Agree, nothing shocking. remember LD lost in R1 of OG04? where is his conqueror now? in the past ten years, there are many players beated him more than once, more than thrice... no big deal.

the big deal is he could still win the big titles, and don't forget his age now... it will be shameful for the younger players if no one could challenge him...

a loss is a loss, let it be...

You know, Lin Dan never had the habit of wearing any knee guard or bandage or tape, I'm sure you know that. And Tee JY wearing a knee guard doesn't prove she's injured, many athletes do that sometimes just to feel good. We only guessed she's injured based on watching her play.

I repeat, if you had watched all the five matches Lin Dan played, the contrast would immediately strike you, stark difference between the fateful final match as compared with any of the previous four. That's why he pulled out of the HK Open last-minute and flew back to Beijing for further treatment. Again, and again,as Cheung asked...'was it the quality of the shot or...?'. If you cannot understand or refuse to accept Cheung's revelatory analysis, sorry , I can't help you.

I suggest we hold our horses until March next year to clarify and confirm our respective beliefs, doubts and suspicions, if any. No point going round in circles.

KS vs WN on court, and KS is making a lot of unforced errors.. 6-10 he was leading, and now 10-10..

True. Right, I've no problem with that, Ronald Susilo, Wong Wing Ki, Park Sung Hwan, JOJ, etc. I also never once deny Srikanth's victory or discredit it if you read my posts carefully, I only take issue with those who deny Lin Dan's injury which affected his training as well and the resultant loss of form that contributed to his defeat.

And Cheung who seems to know quite a bit about sport injuries was surmising that Lin Dan's synovial membrane inflammation,i.e. synovitis , could mean or lead to meniscus damage or meniscal tear that may require surgery eventually, hope not.

It looks like KS is in control of G2 as well..

WN making a lot of unforced errors, at net. The last two points, WN made errors at net play.

That's good for the German Mixed pair to still get a place for the SSF in Dubai. China MXD has to win
