R/16 continues the intensity of last stop of SS tour. Four MS seeded players had been ousted. Two encounters presented gruelling battle yesterday, Sugiarto v Wei N and Srikanth v Chou TC whilst the other two outcome were pretty predictable since 4th seed Tago and 8th seed Tian HW showed poor performance recently. It's good day for Denmark as all their three players still exist in this round.

WS, we'll looking forward to rivarly between the youngsters at bottom-half of draw, Okuhara v Sindhu and Yamaguchi v Intanon. Two Wangs are expected to proceed into last eight also reigning WC Marin and Tai TY as well. CHN Open Champ Saina Nehwal has tricky opponent, Zhang Beiwen also 8th seed Mitani who meet Thailand's Porntip.

MD discipline, two tight matches may happen between Ko SH/Shin BC v Kamura/Sonoda and Fu HF/Zhang N v Ahsan/Setiawan. Third seed Endo/Hayakawa surprisingly was sent packing by Danish #2 Conrad/Kolding yesterday who will take on their younger teammates Rasmussen/Sorensen to chase QF slot.

WD, all seeded pairs are predicted to prevail today with CHN, JPN and KOR have three representatives each in this category.

XD, rematch of CHN Open final may deliver another thrilling atmosphere, ZZ v Yoo YS/Eom HW. And two INA scratch pairs, Jordan/Natsir & Ahmad/Susanto will be tested by defending champion The Adcocks and Thai veteran Sudket/Saralee respectively.

    Some highlight matches :
    - Srikanth (IND) v Tanongsak (THA)
    - Sasaki (JPN) v Son WH (KOR)
    - Okuhara (JPN) v Sindhu (IND)
    - Yamaguchi (JPN) v Intanon (THA)
    - Ko SH/Shin BC (KOR) v Kamura/Sonoda (JPN)
    - Fu HF/Zhang N (CHN) v Ahsan/Setiawan (INA)
    - Zhang/Zhao (CHN) v Yoo/Eom (KOR)
    - Adcock/Adcock (ENG) v Jordan/Natsir (INA)

    Thanks CLELY.

Yup, a repeat of the China Open. Zhang/Zhao (CHN) v Yoo/Eom (KOR).
Hope the Koreans prevail this time. The last match went to 3 games.

Very nice job Clely, I was writing to make this thread while suddenly it's a blackout, lol. And no battery in my laptop. Darn.

All the best for the remaining player of Indonesia! :D

And hopefully there were some good matches for those who watch it.

This Tontowi/Debby looks good so far. :D Leading comfortably against old and tricky Sudket/Saralee 21-16 11-3. I hope they can keep the good momentum and finish it in straight game.

Tee Jing Yi always has the ability to stand shot by shot against top players actually, she just too impatient and careless imo. Lets see how she fare this 2nd game, so far she keeps Yihan in her range.

And while I'm writing (it was 13-11 for Yihan) and suddenly already 18-11. Sorry to jinx you Tee. :( :D

Tee JY has good fighting spirit, I'm impressed by her performance in Uber Cup last May. Let's see whether she can upset Yihan this time...
