It took Zhao Yunlei a while to get warmed up, but as soon as she did Zhang/ Zhao were always in control.

Still blown away from what I've seen from Zheng/ Chen.
Definitely a top 5 pair in the world

Basically CTC is also playing a slow rallying game which suited LD's present style. That is why LD could match him stroke for stroke. Speed for speed? Was the game very fast? This one is debatable. The reason why he is playing in this tournament is because it is held in his hometown. That is what he said in an interview. Obviously he felt well enough to play but will not push himself unnecessarily, not to the extend of incurring a serious injury. He is well- known for knowing when to stop if the need arises.

Very friendly handshakes between them. Haven't seen Chai/Hong played like this for a long time.

A final appearance is good enough for Chai/Hong. A big ask for them to beat Lee/Yoo.

Women's singles has been the best. Yamaguchi just too good. Owned all the Chinese. Funny, because if she was Chinese (eg. born in China), she wouldn't have been promoted at all, because she's "too short". Hilarious.

By the way, if Yamaguchi wins the final (which is very possible), does she break the top 20? Or even top 10? I see she's currently ranked no. 35, and I predicted at the start of the year that she would break the top 10 by the end of the year. I think she'll come close at least. She would easily be top 10 by now if she played more tournaments.

Nevermind some of Gillian Clark's nonsense lines. Reputation would not make you run like crazy on court.

    Just check. It's Minatsu (12) > Sayaka (15) > Eriko (21) > Akane (35) > Nozomi (37).

Numbers in bracket denotes current world ranking.

Akane will be no.1 Japanese soon. It's just a matter of time. I spotted her talent in early 2013 (before she won anything significant), much like Morten Frost spotted LCW talent hehe.

Tomorrow it will be very difficult for saina if she has difficulty in the movement. Akane has a very very strong defence and counter attacking capabilities. I am very eager to see how it is going to be.

Srikanth has done a great job so far. Unfortunate for him to meet Lindan in the finals. It's a very good platform to learn from the master. Hoping for a good decent fight.

17-yr-old He Bingjiao only played three senior international tournaments compared with Akane Y's 10 including this one. How is HBJ ever going to get enough exposure, opportunities and experience to shine like Akane?

Just watched the 1st game between AY and WSX.
WSX was made to run all four corners. AY returned all that WSX threw at her with WSX finally committing errors by hitting out or into the net.

It seems like playing on home soil adds pressure on the CHN girls.

    Continuing with the 2nd game.

Probably MF's only distinction as a coach but I admire him.
