Haven't there been just too many upsets in this tournament? Just way too many...

And especially from the host players.

    MS
All seeded players are out. ( assuming CTC wins which is very likely) The biggest shock being the no. 1 seed ousted. I don't think anyone will call Jan's defeat an upset, but for the rest.

    WS
LXR wasn't playing. Young Yamaguchi atleast brought a solid upset. WSX and WYH are out too. What's happened to CHN WS players?

    MS
The biggest upset of course being the failure of Ina MD - Ahsan/Setiawan. CHN hasn't really got a reliable pair. Koreans should take this one. It is perhaps the only discipline going by what people would guess, barring the one above.

    WD
Largely all right I would say. Though Bao/Tang should have passed, but they have been off for months now.

    XD
CHN really made a mark with 6 off 8 quarterfinalists. I thought they would have 3 representations in the semis, but got the pairs wrong. While Xu/ma lost, the young teenagers won, in the biggest upset of the tournament.

If SN and AY wins their respective equally tough matches tomorrow ( I hope)
It will be a neck to neck battle in the finale..that would be just perfect for the last SSP finals(WS)

Not everybody wears. Some do. There is a whole astronomy branch here, that does huge business out of it. Advertisements appear on prime time, to buy rings.

So apparently, these rings, worn on a finger depending on your birthdate etc. with stones based on that as well, are supposed to help you.

Help or not, they give you a tremendous boost mentally, if you are into that sort of things.

I doubt it. It is based on astronomer's predictions really, also there is a whole pseudo science around it. Some stones are worn only in certain fingers etc.

I am not into it, but my mom made me wear an emerald for a whole year in my little finger! People in India actually believe in it.
