Great win for Marc! Hasn't his results been a little poor recently?

Perhaps he picked up a few tips from CTC being the marathon man.

I like the mention of CTC and have high hopes on him as one of the ROW. :D

Yup, CTC should be the one taking over for ROW along with KM.
The rest are the same batch with LCW and have stagnant.
LCW is on the decline and poses no threat to the top two.
CTC is resilient and KM is talented but I will put my money on CTC.
Oh, there are a few IND players too.

Akane takes opening game from Shixian!

    ---

    Kento - Zhengming just started.

I don't knnow about anyone else but I really don't enjoy watching Zhengming play. His style just seems so boring, rigid and regimented. Excellent player of course, but not particularly entertaining as far as i'm concerned. Hope Kento makes it a tight match

So you are rooting for Kento because you don't like WZM's style.:)
    But Kento is not consistent.

With Chen Long out and Lin Dan at 70% fitness, the MS field here is thrown wide open.

Strongly disagree. Lin Dan is a massive favourite and I personally can't see him getting beaten this week.

Looks like Wang Shixian is going to follow Chen Long's ending in this tournament.

To me, hope is one thing, being realistic another. We shall see.

Hope the other Chong Wei will rise to the occasion now that he doesn't have to play second fiddle and not in the shadows of the WR1!

If WZM do not advance, CHN will have only LD in the last 8.
For all their might, CHN still need this old horse and he should advance into the semis where hopefully CTC will be his opponent. This should tell how much has CTC improved.
