Many interesting clashes to follow :

    - Chou Tien Chen (TPE) v Tommy Sugiarto (INA)
    - Lin Dan (CHN) v Jan O Jorgensen (DEN)
    - Wang Zhengming (CHN) v Kento Momota (JPN)
    - Ratchanok Intanon (THA) v Han Li (CHN)
    - Sun Yu (CHN) v Tai Tzu Ying (TPE)
    - Akane Yamaguchi (JPN) v Wang Shixian (CHN)
    - Fu HF/Zhang N (CHN) v Endo/Hayakawa (JPN)
    - Liu C/Bao YX (CHN) v Jordan/Susanto (INA)

Live TV (court 1, 01.00pm local time) will broadcast 5 matches :
    - Fu Haifeng/Zhang Nan (CHN) v Hiroyuki Endo/Kenichi Hayakawa (JPN)
    - Lin Dan (CHN) v Jan O Jorgensen (DEN)
    - Ratchanok Intanon (THA) v Han Li (CHN)
    - Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir (INA) v Jorrit De Ruiter/Samantha Barning (NED)
    - Maneepong Jongjit/Nipitphon Puangpuapech (THA) v Chai Biao/Hong Wei (CHN)

Some headline defeats yesterday, Ahsan/Setiawan (2nd seed), Boe/Mogensen (3rd seed), Kenichi Tago (3rd), Sung Ji Hyun (4th), Son Wan Ho (5th).

We'll see the delayed DEN SSP meeting of Lin Dan vs Jorgensen will happen today, this gonna be rubber games as their last encounter in Japan SS last June.

Another long match on the scenario is Chou TC v Sugiarto. Tommy suffered losing at last two meetings, will he take revenge to this highly improved TPE player?

Televised matches are all potentially interesting matches, thank you CLELY

Do wish BWF will televise more than 5 matches though

Thanks Clely for good recap and preview.

CTC has won 11 consecutive matches after lost to LD at DO, including beat TS at FO, while TS has 0 consecutive wins, and last 6 matches were 3:3 (3 wins and 3 loses), including lost to CTC.

Chen Long also has 11 consecutive wins if ignore the Asian games, otherwise, he has only 5.

Lin Dan has 12 consecutive wins if Asian Games doesn't count, otherwise, LD has 20 consecutive wins!!! Amazing records! including defeated CTC and CL.

Except CTC, CL and LD, all others have 0 consecutive wins, I believe. Including LCW, whose last record on BWF was a lost to CL at WC, or lost to CL and LD at AG.

Will be interesting to see if LD can play at a higher pace needed to beat JOJ but I have a feeling his knee is still causing him problems

Will the last MAS representative progress further? There is a good chance but we wil have to wait until the last match of the day.

And he will play against another leff-handed. Personally, I don't think he can advance to the next round.

The Germans are not terrible but in the middle pack of the 2nd tier at best. Cai Yun should just pack it up and let Lu Kai concentrate on XD, which may potentially free up ZN to play MD exclusively. Cai Yun is "one stone killing two birds", for the enemy.

Yes I agree...but also if it is someone in the position and pedigree of Cai Yun, LYB cannot exactly tell him to shove off and retire without a fair amount of blowback.

It is getting closer to 2016 though, I still don't think CY can stick around until then so possibly we will see re-alignment early next year which may be more telling.

As I said in the other thread, there is a big gap between junior and senior players. You just have to give the juniors time to mature. Another good example is Chen QingChen /Jia YiFan, another junior World Champion. They are having troubles in two tournaments in a row.
