The last chance for players to gain SS point towards Destination Dubai SS Finals, hopefully those names who had been registered will not pull out.

LXR's pulling out, a wise decision.

Agree, a wise decision. LXR has been in 10 successive finals, 12 if you include her AG team and individual events, and it's beginning to take a strain on her. The CHN Open being a premier SS and on homesoil, she simply cannot skip even if she wants to, so that leaves only the HK Open SS to take a break before the year-end Dubai SSF.

    Ya, a wise decision.
Actually if you look at it, she completed the bare minimum that is required for a top 10 player i.e. all the premier tournaments and 4 superseries tournament.

Yup, better to pull out now than to play half heartedly and retiring half way during matches.
Wise decision and let other players participate.

Don't forget, the entire KOR squad skipped the French Open.

The Korean squad was busy with the National Sports Festival that began on the 28th of October. Most of them will be playing in this week's Korean GP followed by China SSP next week.

Thanks for telling me that, I've no problem with KOR Team skipping the French Open or any tournament they like, a decision I respect. My pointing it out is in response to somebody who is always picking on Team CHN or any of its members.

Btw, I just found out both SJH and BYJ also pulled out of the KOR GPG this week. The KOR WS title is thrown wide open for anyone to win it, interesting.

    Very interesting draw..
    CTC vs K srikanth
    Tanongsak vs PK
If both of them wins (I don't think so) they'll face eacha other...
SN no 3 seed she'll face BZ in R2(most probab) and then TTY(assuming both of them winning) I am desperate to see again SN vs WSX I hope they face each other in SF..
Pv (7) will face BO, Yu sun and then RI(if RI def AY again)
Very excited to see new CHN and KOR WD pair especially BYX/WXL and KHN and her new partner..it will be strange to watch my all time fav lily without Towi Behind her

Bad draw for Liu Xin, slated to meet WSX in R2. Tian Houwei's not much better, slated to face Chen Long in the QF. Good for Lin Dan and Wang Zhengming in the other half but different quadrants.

All the China WDs (including 4 seeded pairs) are in the bottom half of the draw! What the chance for that to happen?

the 2nd seed is fixed: 100%
the 4th seed in bottom half: 50%
the 5th seed in bottom half: 50%
the 6th seed in bottom half: 33%

    total is: 8%

So, don't say BWF is not doing its part for badminton.

Funny how Sun Yu's foursome are all familiar faces from the junior days.

By that inference, we should see this occurring approximately one in ten tournaments. Thanks for pointing that out.
