I'm thinking if we could let every player put on a chip at the 'waist' in the badminton sense and have technology monitor their service instead of relying on the subjectivity of each service judge. Just thinking aloud.
Problem could be the chip will move about in tandem with the players physical action, unless it is implanted into their skin. Some naughty players may also adjust the "chip" higher at every opportunity.
I urge BWF to increase each player/pair's entitlement of linecall challenges to three per set for a start as part of incremental changes to see how it goes. Forget about altering the scoring system to 11x5 without deuces.
We can have the official apply the chip on the players/pairs on court just before the start of the match and then use technology to check that they are in place now and then so nobody can tamper with it. I believe biotechnology can come up with a viable solution, doesn't seem out of this world to me.
