Sung JH should realize by now that Sindhu wants to capitalize on her height and reach and bring the shuttle down at every instance whether by smashes or drop shots, so she got to be ready for it whenever she lifts the shuttle to her.

The way I see it, Sindhu should be ready to challenge Saina for IND WS supremacy by now, it's just her lack of inner belief that's holding her back. Obviously Saina is the more experienced of the two and that counts to a certain extent but their relative strengths are closer than we thought going by their H2H. I think their differences are more psychological than anything, the junior has too much respect for or even in awe of her senior.

Another thing is Sindhu plays best when she regards herself clearly as the underdog and could usually give free rein to her abilities, often playing above herself. But against most other players where she believes she can beat, she becomes more eager and impatient to win and somehow unable to play freely.

Sung JH is so tired, if she fails to take the 2nd set, I'm afraid she will lose the decider on stamina, not skills.

    Match point for Sung 21-20

    Sung bt Sindhu 25-23, 22-20

Very close match, must be very painful for Sindhu to lose in straight

Agree, if Sindhu won the G2, most likely she'd take the match. Sung just ran out of gas, fixing her shoe strings repeatedly :D
