I'd describe it as a tormenting victory for Chen Long. If I remember correctly, this is not the first time Tanongsak tortured him. CL could use more deception, disguised and trick shots and , most importantly, read his opponent's game better and anticipate better as a result.

Have to hand it to CL for his persistence and stubborn resistance. TS can be somewhat inconsistent and temperamental at times but against CL he was at his best, more than once. If TS could play like that more often and against most of the opponents, I'm sure he can achieve much better results than he has done so far.

I'd love for the organizers to swap the Ratchanok vs Liu Xin match on TV Court now that the 5th match is cancelled.

Maybe Lee CW's withdrawal affected his motivation, or maybe as somebody said he is tired from the AG.

As per a TV reporter from Denmark, Lin Dan has withdrawn from the French Open and may withdraw from the China Open as well.

LYB has said the other day Lin Dan must collect more ranking points and rise in ranking for the Sudirman Cup six months later in Dongguan,China. Something must have happened to him, hope it's not anything to do with injury though that is almost always the case whenever a player withdraws during a tournament.

Yep, pretty sure JOJ would have won. LD takes the easy way out.

Hmmm, may be because this Denmark OPSS is not big enough for him. Haha.

A pleasantly surprised Saina Nehwal said, “I did not play very well against the German girl[Karin Schnasse]. I didn’t really get in to a rhythm against her yesterday, but today I played very good. Though I did not expect to win that easy against Mitani”.

Saina takes on old foe and World no.2 Wang Shixian of China in the quarter-final. Talking about the challenge, Saina said, “It is gonna be a difficult match, but I will fight and try to play my best”.

OK, I was told GC said it's due to knee injury. Oh dear, hope it's not serious. No wonder in his match against CTC yesterday, hardly any jump-smashes or dive retrievals, mostly rallies and stroke play but laden with unforced errors.
