Rajiv blew his chances in G3, leading 11-7, suddenly turned passive allowing CWF to draw level and move ahead before he woke up, took more initiative but in the end was too late, handing the match to CWF 21-19 after saving 3 matchpoints.
I agree, not being able to challenge the linecalls is frustrating, annoying and a big disadvantage. I just hope the technology keeps improving and becomes more and more reliable over time, near perfection, the sooner the better. In tennis, I understand each player is entitled to 3 challenges per set (not per match) whilst in badminton, there's only two each per match (not per set). It'll be great if one day the technology is good enough to completely replace linejudges; I certainly look forward to it.
MAS retained the Gold Medal with a 3-1 win over ENG. It seems SIN gave MAS a better fight losing by 3-2 and deserves the bronze.
Congrats to all medalists, two SE Asia nations bagged gold (MAS) and bronze (SIN) while silver grabbed by England team, next the badminton attention will shift to individual event
