A narrow victory for WSX, imo. Her retrieving ability may be very good but most of her shots are not offensive or threatening enough and Busanan is reading her game quite well. Luckily, at crucial moments, WSX was smart enough to anticipate Busanan's returns and outwitted her. I can almost sense Chen Jin sitting there feeling a bit frustrated with WSX by the way he gestured to her in between points occasionally.
To her detriment, too... She really could have done it...even the score in the second game was so close.
To be frank, Bae should have won out Nichaon, she let her off the hook. Anyway, it's good to see Nichaon in the semifinal, if only for a change as Bae has been there many times without much success. I believe Nichaon is hungrier for success and will go all out tomorrow, whoever it may be facing her.
Busanan is a very promising player, LXR once called her a child prodigy, a genius (the Chinese term she used can mean either or both), adding that Thailand didn't only have one genius, Intanon, but several. Hmm, I suddenly remembered He Bingjiao beat Busanan at the last WJC. Wonder how she did it, just couldn't find the video anywhere. The problem with Busanan is she underperforms at the junior level, probably put too much pressure on herself. I feel she can give Akane a really good fight.
To be honest and fair, WSX also made more than her fair share of errors just now, not characteristic of her when she is at her best. She usually makes very few simple, unforced errors and the only way to really beat her is to outplay her offensively. The last time she lost to Sung JH was attributed more to her error-prone game.
Tan/Tan won G1 , lost G2 tamely, was leading 10-5, 13-8, in the 3rd before allowing the KOR to catch up to 15-all, then 18-all and finally overtake them, what a shame.
Don't understand why the organizer scheduled four doubles matches in a row then followed by four singles on TV court instead of interspersing them.
I think Mr and Mrs Adcock have a fighting chance of upsetting Ahmad/Natsir. The GER Fuchs/Michels came close to doing that in R1.
Really!! The organizers should analyze each and every point before broadcasting.....since afternoon I am constantly watching the same style quick aggressive but not much of deception And tremendous footwork!! I am desperate to see singles match but cant.....and later today when we all will get tired of singles there won't be Any doubles match on tv... The crowd is vibrant everything the atmosphere the energy level is fantastic except the right lineup of matches ;(
Wow, Zhang Nan is totally dominating the front court right now. LXL needs to learn some lessons from him.
FHF/ZN win G2 comfortably. Dominant performance. ZN was definitely the best player on the court today! Hope to see them covered by BWF.
