Not yet. GC said a third challenge should be given when the game goes over 20 points and a tie-breaker is needed.
I guess that's what BWF and the organizer want LXR to do as part of promoting the sport by going round the whole stadium, getting close to the crowd, interacting with them a bit more. I'm sure they will make all the champions do that later.
doesn't make sense. Liu Xin's match was a three setter. The korean lost in straight sets. so why was she chosen for third? Are they going to start doing this at all the super series events?
GC says Matsutomo/Takahashi will go to #1 ranking on the SS rankings list after this final, win or lose.
I have been telling that to the HK Badminton Association for the HK Open (on an informal basis). Is it a problem for a player to go walk around the audience after the match to have a few photos taken and sign a few autographs (with the security). I'd like the player to take a bit of initiative and try to pick some of the shy kids out to have a photo.
Sorry I thought you was asking about the challenge. Maybe Liu Xin had flew to Jakarta to prepare for the Indo Open?
Hmm, I didn't realize that - since the semifinalist Sung JH was called to the prize presentation then Liu Xin should be there too as there wasn't a third-place playoff.
Because she flew to Indonesia cant be the reason... it's prize money and a medal. does anyone know why the korean was given third?
I support that, rather than having the winners troop out of the arena immediately after the victory ceremony and photo-shoots.
hmmm maybe is was joint... MAYBE lol, but wouldn't the chinese team travel together? If Li Xuerui is on the podium, would Liu Xin also be standing there? I'm so confused lol
Maybe the players who lost in the early stages would fly to Jarkata first so they would have more time to prepare and get use to the conditions since the tournaments are played back to back.
Quite true, LXR looks so poised just now at the prize presentation and interacting with the other two on the podium and during the victory lap; she's growing up as she herself has said, more relaxed, composed and mature now.
