And who will playing MS3? One of their MD certainly, that's gambling but maybe good strategy, overconfidence by CHN team as they regularly beat JPN in many tournaments.

Losing or winning is normal condition in sport, this is not the first time CHN Thomas team stopped at semifinal round : 1992, 1994, 1996, 1998, 2002. Japan has created history to enter first ever final in Thomas Cup. Long time dubbed as underdog team, they produce something big even two years ago they stunned INA in QF.

The attendance has been so pathetic that I'm almost rooting for India to beat Japan so that maybe, just maybe, more butts will be compelled to park themselves in those seats on finals day.

I won't hold my breath, though. Nehwal obviously ain't that Queenly even in her own country.

ya, maybe Zhang Nan to play the MS3. Haha... well, it's a risky strategy. :D Sometimes it is better for China to lose once only the youngsters can grow, like what happened to their women's team in 2010.

A pity that Lin Dan as MS3 has such a small role to play. I mean, how often do you see CHN having to go the full distance when the 5th tiebreaker is required?

JPN isn't using Akane as WS3 but Eriko instead, preferring experience to youth.

I'd say Chong Wei Feng as MS2 is pivotal to MAS success against INA.

Hahaha, only you can come up with such a strategy.:D:D
Dont think the coaches would ever dare to do so

Putting Tian HW as MS2 could have been better against Momota. Both young & furious

Mitani appears a bit too cautious whereas Saina is more confident with the IND crowd behind her.

Actually what suetyan suggested about putting Lin Dan as MS3 and using one of their MD player as MS3 is what Li Yongbo himself has hinted is an option if the situation calls for it.

Saina takes first game at 21-12. In complete control and seemed to be moving Mitani at will.
