Exactly, it's getting harder for anyone to win back-to-back SS tournaments (or even a GPG of SS standard in the lineup).

It's good for LCW to lose once in a while (as I have said before) so that he can go back to the drawing board and do some adjustments to his game, if he is to continue playing for the next few years.
If Simon clever, he must reject the offer. It has been proved that he is much better rather than in pelatnas.
So far Simon has won two tournaments in a row, where he participated. Malaysia GPG won on 30 Mar. Singapore SS won today 13 Apr. That shows some consistency at least at 3 weeks terms.
Lee Chong Wei lost to Sony Dwi Kuncoro in the Japan SS 2008 & World Championships 2009 plus the Singapore SS 2010. That's 3 times in 3 years. He also lost once to Simon Santoso in Japan SS 2009.
Sorry, that link shows Simon's not Sony's record. You mentioned Sony DK beating LCW three times after Beijing 2008.
Yup, particularly for veteran shuttlers, it demands strong stamina. Surprise Singapore SS title for Simon Santoso, coming from qualifying round then bags MS title after defeated strong fave Lee CW in convincing fashion, such a fairy tale ending for him. Simon applied aggressive style and precise placement also good defensive shots. It's great to see his comeback in international circuit with 1 GPG and 1 SS title, hopefully Simon will keep his consistency at next tournaments XD title is pretty predictable but intensity increased at the end of game 2 when younger INA pair didn't give up to their senior WS, brilliant determination by Wang YH, she produced many shots variation, nice to watch long rallies in game 2, high class quality from both players MD, Cai Yun grabbed SS title with his new partner, he's still sharp in front of the net and interesting to wait whether Cai will be partnered permanently with Lu Kai WD, It's not good performance by Bao/Tang despite they won over Danish combo, seemed their movement is slower than usual...
WOW Simon!!! What a famous victory!!! I never expected this..fabulous badminton! Seriously I thought I never seen Simon play this good before? Congratulations he deserve the title I hope to see him continue to play like this and continue to take titles in the future...
