The organizers just wanted all the Chinese vs Chinese matches on one court. :p

Considering that zhang nan and fu didnt even qualify for the main draw, i think they did pretty well. They didnt seem to have much time to prepare. Fu even admitted in an interview that obvious mistakes came up in early matches. Hopefully they will adjust to each other.

Actually, FHF and ZN did not even qualify for the qualification. They were number 2 on the reserve list. It took not one, but two withdrawals for them to get in.

Doubt remains on whether ZN can withstand the faster pace in MD. They showed some promising signs at AE. This is a pair to watch.

Can't see a problem myself. The match order minimises the effect of withdrawals or 'loss of interest' on the TV court. It's the best interests of the game. Ma Jin? She's a strong girl. No problem.

So my prediction has come true.

The 3 ladies from China and May are through to the SF:

And all in straight games too!

Surprisingly it was Michelle who gave May a fright in G1, but all else were rather tame.

Who will survive the SF in WS? Will the much anticipated final clash between China's Olympic champion and Thailand's World champion be on the cards?

KSH should be the man of the match at the qf. 3 games in both 2 matches and both wins!! just rest 2.6 hours in between.

I think LXR vs WYH final.
Chen Long has been off a bit this tournament, so WZM has a chance.

    The answer is NO.
Because both of them will fight each other today for the right to meet either of the Wangs.

The first half of the Wang vs Nehwal game was fantastic.
