We were lucky in this respect, actually - we were fretting slightly about what "32 lb" would mean, but the players have been very specific with main and cross tensions. Ahmad and Natsir have been the only "square" ones we've seen so far; most have asked for a differential, be it 1 or 2 lb.

To be honest, though, we decided on bottom up for safety reasons, and we're not seeing that much frame deformation (though Ahmad's did come out a bit fat;)).

Well, if youre not using the PS thats whatll happen with even tensions :D shouldnt be that much though, assuming you get to use Victors top-end machines

I know what you meant to ask, but no - we haven't seen any KRP rackets so far. We haven't had any of Ko's yet, though, and he's back on the blue BS12... and he won today... might see him tomorrow morning.

Craziest tension of the week: Tsai Chia Hsin is running 33/33 on a TK8000. And his MD partner is playing 33/33 on a BS12N.

Please - god - don't let anybody come in wanting tighter than THAT!

Hope you're wearing protective eyegear like Paul is... although I think his are bifocals. :p

Why would you need protective eyegear for that?^^ Strung all my LN rackets to 33 and beyond at one point, no sign of imminent doom ever.....and the one time a racket broke on the machine it happened after a string broke spontaneously and there was no graphite flying around or anything^^
Although working with 31+ is a bit hard on the fingers when you get to all the shared and overlapping areas...

The only Indo's we've seen are Ahmad and Natsir, and they seemed to be off-the-shelf rackets.

As Mark says, we've had so much thrown at us but players are very specific about tension. PLayers know what they want and we've really enjoyed working with them. The week has been full of stories, some we can tell and some we can't. We've had lots of laughs, the banter has been brilliant!

Are the players specific about string type as well?

How about the pattern or method of stringing used, such as 1P, 2PTD, 2PBU, 50/50, Haribito, manufacturer/model specific patterns, etc?

Haha yeah, for a second I wondered...:D then again they break strings in every tournament and nearly every match, so it really isnt out of the norm :D

Woo , 31 is consider high tensions already .

I heard rumours that Denmark gal Kamilla Rytter string at 34. That is really high especially on yonex racket.

    Dear Paul and Mark

I wonder about the weight of the rackets used by Natsir / Ahmad
Do their BS12L - BS12NC felt quite heavy or light ?

I hope you got some time to swing the racket during the stringing job

In addition, could you also share with us the string and tension chosen by Gideon MF for his MX-90 ?

    Cheers Mate :)
