The buttcap is correct, the buttcap and bag is the easiest way to notice a fake aside from the codes.
Just discovered this post, now I'm wondering about a racquet I got a couple of years ago. I have no reason to suspect this is fake (mainly because I wouldn't be able to tell otherwise ), but I'd like to know for curiosity's sake. ---->8---- cut here (include this line) ---->8---- racket model: Yonex Nanospeed 5500 shaft serial: 2550295 cone code : 2104XXXX - Half of the cone code is covered by a square, yellow-green holographic sticker, which I don't know if I should peel off or not. Advice? source : Guang Zhou Wilken Sports Co., Ltd, Guang Zhou / 广州市威健体育用品有限公司 price : RMB900 ---->8---- cut here (include this line) ---->8---- Thanks!
I hope I am not too late.. It is a FAKE racket. the shaft serial and cone code doesn't match please check the right one below as you can see, MBS code is the right now 13th of May 2010 with starting code 93XXXXX (and it will move to bigger number) yours is 16th of June 2010, but yours is in the lower 2XXXXXX I agree the easiest one to spot is the buttcap, and in this case it is CLEARLY FAKE the "/" in the "o/o/" logo is much higher than the middle part of the "o" (it should be in the middle of the o) http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=155744&stc=1&d=1392514324 http://img.tennis-warehouse.com/watermark/rs.php?path=YBCAP-1.jpg&nw=300 see the difference? =========================== no it is not right the DD MM Y X (and 2 code area) D: Day M: Month Y: Year X: like Kwun said, X is the revision number. how many times the racket is being revised? you can tell by the number. usually a racket will get 2-4, I think one member here say they saw as high as 6, even 8. since it is revision number, that is why there is no way it is 0 it is a fake one
Dear Avenger n all, Thanks for all the help that all of you had given me. As now I can confirm the racket is fake. Thanks again.
Yeah I see the difference! Sorry yellow for giving false info!!, and thanks avenger for correcting me
racket model: Yonex Voltric 80 SP shaft serial: 7569685 cone code : 051012SP source : Bought used price : US$150
you might want to read this thread it is about one typical type of fake cone code and shaft serial I wrote it like years ago. and yours is fallen in this category (which is why I said, typical type of fake) http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php/94521-New-Fake-Yonex-Rackets-Phenomenon
Yes bro I manage to return the racket after a small drama. "Drama" = I was told TW code don't follow the ddmmyx like other code. Is it true? I am happy I get a refund and will be more careful on my next purchase. Thanks again to all
That's not true. He is lying. TW code must follow the ddmmyx code. Glad you get a refund. Have to be careful if buying in Queensway next time
E78 shop in Hong Kong is recommended so hopefully these rackets are Genuine. But I thought I post the serial numbers to double check. Still can't believe the price of the Nanoray Z-speed compared to UK. Prices are without strings since they couldn't string it in time. ---->8---- cut here (include this line) ---->8---- racket model: Yonex Voltric i-Force shaft serial: 4456443 cone code : 170632SP source : E78 Shop (Hong Kong) price : HK$1090 ---->8---- cut here (include this line) ---->8---- ---->8---- cut here (include this line) ---->8---- racket model: Yonex Nanoray Z-Speed shaft serial: 4763326 cone code : 231032SP source : E78 Shop (Hong Kong) price : HK$1250 ---->8---- cut here (include this line) ---->8----
