I think Sri won only because he won Game 1. Orders were to just play 2 games and not tire out the winner. Yup, with future players the badminton powerhouse have secured 3 titles in doubles category, only miss WS final. And then 2012 WJC runner-up Xue Song will try to win his maiden title in senior level against home promising talent Srikanth. FINALS (02.00pm) => http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/s...654A31-19C1-4964-B5FF-7D1C35BF6536&d=20140126 Only 2 nations involved in today's final : host India and China, almost all discipline will stage matches from same country except MS, save the best for last WS, Saina v Sindhu, both of them pushed hard effort to eliminate their opponents yesterday. The off-form Saina needs victory desperately here to end her title drought and boost confidence to perform well in next tourneys.
No idea why you are so optinistic about prannoy. He is good player but he dont have so much varieties in his game as if srikanth has. With the current situation in india, he is the only one who can get a gpg title.
HS Prannoy has beaten K Srikanth previously (and convincingly). In fact, having seen several times both these players play, I fully share cobalt's optimism. Prannoy nearly beat Lee Chong Wei while Srikanth came up very short. Prannoy has beaten Jan O Jorgensen, Taufik Hidayat and Boonsak Ponsana. Srikanth has beaten only Boonsak and has no other big scalps in his bag (yet). Also, Srikanth relies almost exclusively on the big smash. However, Prannoy has a very wide repertoire of shots. IMHO, very soon, Prannoy will be the man to beat
