Quite a pathetic display from Chen Long - I'm going to go out on a limb and say that he will never ever beat Lin Dan.

Poor Du Pengyu - I'm sure dollar signs are flashing in Lee Chong Wei's eyes now and he will be merciless. I'm predicting a single digit loss for Du in straight sets.

Sad performance by CL. How can someone play that good against LCW and without a real fight against Tago, who plays very good atm, but still... So far CL is defenitly way behind LCW and LD... Only trimmed to beat LCW.
Was hoping for a re-match in the finals.

If Kenichi tago plays something like this, definitely he has the chance to win the title against LCW hoping that both of them reaches the final on sunday.

I like Lim Khim Wah/Goh V Shem attacking playing style. Finally see some hope on Malaysia MD.

Guys, it's not surprising that someone doesn't play at their "best" level every day. But that's what makes a true champion - winning when you're not playing at your "best". Chen Long probably didn't play at his best today, and he lost. It's pretty simple.

If you were CL, would you want to play him in LCW's home turf after beating him a week earlier. CL doesn't need to show what he can do. It is Malaysia open, LCW'S tournament, show him respect.

And oh yes, that was a terrible performance from Chen Long, and I watched the match. He didn't even play that spectacularly well to win the second game, it was more Tago piling up the unforced errors and deciding to cede it. Chen intentionally lost because he's quaking at the thought of meeting Lee on home ground. The crowd would be braying for Chen's blood!

And either Tago or Sugiarto has as much chance of beating Lee in the final as I have of being elected the first female Pope.

Please don't be mad with Chen Long, at least he 'entertained' us for three days. Let him enjoy his birthday tomorrow.

I still believe he is the best bet to beat Lin Dan in a major. Look at it calmly, we know what he is capable of - beating Lee CW four times in a row within 14 months is just one of it. After the Chinese New Year, we'll see much more intense competition and fireworks when Lin Dan comes back.

But, DuPY, poor fellow, indeed. At least, Lee CW won't be gloomy during the festive season for all that he's suffered at Chen Long's hands.

Chai Biao/Hong Wei, 'still alive' and into the semifinal of a SSP, not too bad for CHN MDs.

Nice point. If Chen Long beats Lee CW again, this time on his turf in front of his fans and supporters, and he jolly well could, it absolutely won't go down well, with many people feeling sore about it.

Furthermore, archrivals do have mutual respect for each other. Good thought.
