TS says that Li Xuerui gave a walkover to Porntip. That can't be possible, right?

Yes, I thought so too. I knew that PB had recently incurred an injury, but I hadn't heard of LXR picking up anything so I was surprised that she withdrew especially since she was leading 5-1.

TS still says that Porntip has the win. :::whacks TS!:::

Edited to add: It's now changed to show that Li Xuerui won. I'll bet poor Eriko got her hopes up there for a moment...:p

I saw the match just now - Porntip tried and was practically rooted to the spot every time LXR hit a shot which required her to reach for it, with the one point gifted by LXR who netted a return, but probably realized soon enough it's mission impossible when she is not fully fit. Then, 1-5 down, Porntip walked over to the umpire pointing to her knee and conceded the match.

Oh dear, Intanon often performed less than desired in the second of back-to-back tournaments. Now she actually drops the 1st set, 21-18, to Akane Y.

I'm not able to watch this match right now, but I love how you're blaming Intanon for playing below her standard. Maybe she's playing well, but Akane is just better at the moment? After all, Akane didn't just drop out of nowhere - she announced her arrival last year when she won that SS so we expect great things from her.

Oh oh.. Poor Portnip. Could not get victory this time due to her severed injury on her knee. After beating Li xuerui 2 times in a row, her injury was the one which stopped her this time. Li escaped..

OMG Akane Yamaguchi is unbelievable. Having won the first game 21-18 against she was trailing 11-19 but made it a match point at 21-20

Ah, you got me wrong, I'm not blaming her , rather , worried about her. In G2, IR re-asserted herself to lead comfortably and suddenly melted towards the end allowing Akane a run of 8 pts from 11-19 and then to force deuce !
