    if the INA pair win 2-1 against the MAS with total points 10 pts less than the MAS (e.g. 21-19, 7-21, 21-19) then the MAS thro' to the SF

    simply, if 2 players have the same number of points (matches won) then the winner between their match rank higher.

    if 3 or more players have the same number of points, then who has the bigger (games won - games lost) rank higher;

    if still cant divide them the (points won - points lost) next.

    The fairest thing I can think of is if you have already played and lost, you get 2 games against your name (and one for if it's a three setter) If you win like Tago you get 2 games also you should get 2 games "for" if you do not get to play him. Everybody's scoreline reads zero for these matches, so if it comes to a score difference it will not play a part but when it comes to game/match difference it will.

    Not Ideal but closer.

    Yup, you are right. I missed the games won/lost.
    So, the Adcocks are hoping Kido/Pia will do them a favour by beating MAS pair.

    using this MS group B as an example.

    Tommy played Sony first and lost, no point (fairly enough).
    but if he withdrawn right after that, both Tago and Hu will get 2 games for without playing.
    how's that fair?

    The system allows a certain camp to manipulate the results and put their player through.

    Because in theory if they played they had a chance to beat him, why should they be punished. It is fairer for Tommy to be punished as there are no if's or buts he did lose.
    As I said it's not Ideal but it is fairer. The current system of scrapping a game you have already lost is the least fair thing I can think of.

    MAS XD pair will probably sneak pass.
    C'mon, Kido/Pia put up a battle and give the Adcocks some hope.

    What a draw for the semifinals:

    MS - Lee CW plays JOJ again; same for K Tago vs Tommy S;

    WS - WSX plays TTY again; same for LXR vs Bae YJ, I'd much prefer LXR to play TTY first.

    Just finished watching the video Yu/Wang losing the match to the Danish ladies. They played so terribly, comparable to the match vs the Korean ladies in London. But I doubt if anyone will question them this time.
