according to bwf's rules, all the results of the pairs are to be deleted.
thus, both japanese pairs are out of the SF

Another one is MS Group B.
How many points will be awarded to Hun Yu for Sony's walkover? 21-0,21-0? If yes, his score will be 128-107, +19.

But with KT assured of a place, he can afford to lose to Tommy. Tommy just took the 1st game 21-14.

sorry my mistake, the 21-0 21-0 only applied to team events.
thus both will be out of teh SF.

Yeah I see after they were tired out by their 3 setter they were still 2 points off.

Still confused though. Has Tommy still got a chance of going out to hu yun if he loses, If you don't get 21-0 21-0 what do you get?

That also seems unfair as KT won his and TS lost his match against SDK

Tommy and Tago are certain of SF place as both won at least once.
Hu lost twice and 1 walkover voided, and Sony withdrawn.

It seems like there would be a draw to find who to meet whom.. GC was mentioning about the same when LCW was playing JOJ. She said that there is a possibility for these two to meet again in the semis if the draw says so. Is it so?

lets look at it what will be fair for all the other 3 players in the group.
Sony played 2 already, what will you do for the match between him and Hu?

that will be even worst if Hu leading 1 game up and 20-10 in the second then Sony withdrawn injuried.
All the 2 completed and 1 99% completed matches will not be counted!

It's getting late and Tago looked like he doesn't want to win game 2. Now they are playing in the rubber.

This is not fair to Hun Yu. He doesn't know that Sony would withdraw.

There is still one more match, XD group A to go after this.
For INA pair of brother & sister Kido/Pia to advance, they have to win the match without conceding more that 3 points. which is impossible. Can they withdraw and let everyone have an early night?
