You're seriously asking this? You appeared to reply directly to this post in the Victor Fans Thread and even heavily defended Victor multiple times along the way. I suppose you are joking when asking this question? Anyway, I've bolded the important part of the post for you and others: The issue is that we shouldn't have to rely on Eric or anyone else to create a form of "quality control". However, I think you mentioned that Victor don't define 3U or 4U the same way as Yonex does. Can you explain how they define it again? And in that explanation, please justify how a dry 4U can be 89g. Cheers mate.
Eric's weighing is normally rounded up. So it's likely 89g minus whatever the plastic weighs which is around 2.5g. I'm guessing that racket actually weighs closer to 86g.
Even if that was true, last time I checked, 86g falls well within the 3U range and not 4U. But as I said, maybe I've misunderstood what Victor means by 3U and 4U.
Sorry dude, I keep forgetting what the U spec actually is because I never use it. But as I said, I suspect with many Victor rackets they use tolerance to decide whether something is 3U or 4U. If you asked for something and didn't get it, then all I can suggest is that you send it back.
Ace - I don't have both rackets now. There is so little between the two and I didn't have the rackets at the same time for comparison which is why I am struggling so much to tell the difference. We know the MX90 shaft is thinner and from memory flexed at a different point. Head weight is very close but I can't say which may be heavier. Sorry for being vague but this has proved so hard. For me, JJS feels stiffer and it gives more "crisp" sensation on the shots. MX90 has a bit of hold, the similar hold effect on the string bed that can be felt when I play with Arc10 or Arc11 but it's not that obvious. As I expected, MX90 is pretty similar to MX-London. Almost the same balance and stiffness. The frame is stable, with less vibration/liveliness compared to MX80 or JJS.
^ Exactly how i felt after 2 hours session with it. Reminds me of MX London but lighter and faster. Till date MX90 (93g) is one of the fastest Meteor i've played with. Coming second would be MX80 (94g) and finally MX JJS (95g). Shall have more game time to see how it goes.
I don't think so, different spec as per Victor's scale and there's no Hybrid Composite applied on MX70. Never tried MX70 but it supposed to be the user-friendly version of MX80, more flexible and less head heavy.
Nah the MX70 is just a vaguely less stiff version of the 80. Not less stiff enough to bother making it in the first place IMHO. The only differences between the 80/70/60 is shaft stiffness, that's it. The JJS and MX60 are the best Meteors so far, but I am curious about the 90.
has anyone bought the MX90 from HiBadmintonOnline? because it seems that they are the only place who have 3U in stock
Yup I bought from them the 4U version.. good service and readily answer your question... Goods delivered as promised...
Give them a shout on their FB page. Or you can whatsapp them as well. If you buy from SG you will have to western union the money to them.
I really wonder why Kim Sa Rang switch from his winning racket MX 90 to MX 80 yesterday .. MX 80 in my opinion is heavier and also stiffer, its weakness its swinging not as fast as MX 90 i believe so. He end up losing the game!
