2XU have cycling jersey patterns But wearing a badminton brand on your bike might be a bit weird. The sample rackets are pre-production. They will be fully painted and stickered and look pretty much exactly like the production version
If you ever need a quick second opinion, I could help you out, btw, since I live in Melbourne, if I was to test it, when would I receive it?
I'll probably hold an informal social demo at some stage. As for individual testers in Melbs or Oz, I haven't decided yet. I'm open to suggestions
We could supply 20 sample racquets to the club I play at and let people use them and send feedback. Would that work?
Oh right, Keysborough. Haven't played out there yet. So far I've only done Melb Uni, Niddrie, MSAC, Bundorra RMIT, and of course Altona.
I'll be happy to do individual testings if you have any extra gear available. Based in Perth. Would be good to see an Aussie brand making some headway in badminton.
Saw some of the pictures you posted on facebook, are you going to keep it matte for the finish post-design or are you going to do a glossy finish?
Well, the manufacturer is working on the matte finish. As you know, the matte finish hasn't proven to be particularly strong, so if they've worked out a way to make it as strong as gloss by the time we make them, then I'm inclined to go with that. These last two factory samples I got, the matte finish was heaps better than the previous.
Yay! Keep revising and experiment...better now than at a later stage in the development process. Can't wait for more updates, hoping I can be part of the tester network too!!
Well I'm not made of money so I don't know what the costs would be like, but if they're not huge then I'd be happy to do it. And no I don't expect to be paid anything if that helps you at all
