Sincerely, I can't figure out what's happening to the INA MS squad, a second first-round disastrous showing in succession. Sony, I can understand but Tommy and Hayom, I'm baffled ?!

Amazingly, Chai Biao delivered, in XD with Tang Jinhua over the experienced veteran Thai pair, 6th seed Sudket/Saralee, and in MD with Hong Wei over the unknown Koreans despite the clash in schedule for the two matches.

    It's 3 : 0 now H2H, Hayoms lose is not a real upset.
    WR #11 won against #27.

Do anybody know what is the age of Kazuteru Kozai. I just checked his history. It seems like he is playing since 2005 or 2006.

I get your point, Marc is certainly an outstanding player and I've huge respect for him. I was just generalizing about the INA MS debacle in two successive tournaments, esp after the recent reasonably good showing by both Tommy and Hayom, particularly the former.

http://www.badminton.or.jp/2013/osakaic/article0407.htm (sorry, i don't know japanese, you can use google to translate)

I have to say, CL has serious problems when he against those players ranking below 200, for example, Kazuteru Kozai and Lin Dan :crying:

Do you really think an amateur player will beat Chen Long?? He seems to be like an aged and very experienced player who has been playing internationally since 2005. Any japanese fan here who can help me in this ?? What is his age??

Whether he plays regularly or not, he is not missing Osaka international every year it seems.. ;)

Tommy has been picking up some good ranking points for sure, but he has had some really soft draws in the tournaments to get them. Last time he played against Tanongsak he got hammered.

CL was beated last time by an amateur player from Guatemala in the 2011 WC.. so everything is possible. ;)
Kozai used to be a professional player but he isn't playing anymore even for his club right now. but he is the champion of Osaka international... I suppose badminton is his part-time job.

Lin Dan rose to top 100 after beating CL. Perhaps the same will happen to KK too.

Whew. Huge upsets already. And both RI and LXR WO...
So many MS players I wanted to go through has already lost, at least Tago made it to the 2nd round, I wonder if he will be able to face LCW in the final on home court, perhaps the support of the audience can help him win, it was a close one last time. Sad that Sho Sasaki wasn't able to win vs K. Srikanth, after Sho's good run at CM. Wonder if Kento will be able to break through Tien Minh, hasn't' got a game from him. If Tien wins I hope he meets LCW in the SF.
I don't honestly know how much the CL win will matter for Kazuteru Kozai right now, sometimes it's very hard to recover even after a win like that.

Hopefully Chen Long can bounce back to his normal form. Would also not mind WKW going far in a SS sometimes soon.
And seriously, what is going on with the Indonesian MS players? Simon?

Who is Kenta Kazuno that Kazushi Yamada played with? That they almost won vs Liu/Qiu!
