This wouldnt work against a better pair, say Ashwini-Nielsen. I think they just got lucky today. Prajakta Diju had cracked them but again they succumbed to pressure and fast play in the decider.
For those who missed it, a pic of of LCW and Mrs Baun playing together as a mixed doubles pairing : https://twitter.com/juulsager/status/369887206053142528

She was seriously irritating, trying to hog the limelight sitting outside. Currently she is an 'out'standing player.
I loved every time LCW smiled sheepishly while doing a high-five with her - he was so shy, while Tine could not stop laughing. Anyone having pics of Tine when she first entered stadium wearing those ridiculous LED-goggles??
Tina Baun is an aweful partner for LCW. LCW is capable of playing top 5 mixed in the world. FYI, LCW and Vivian Hoo beat Goh Liu Ying and Chan Peng Soon at the Selangor Open in mixed: . Goh Liu Ying and Chan Peng Soon are currently ranked #5 in the world for mixed and they are the #1 mixed team for Malaysia. The problem with Tina Baun playing at the back is that she doesn't smash as hard as a guy and she moves slower than a guy, especially compared to LCW. That is sub-optimal because Tina Baun is playing the traditional role of the guy in mixed, while LCW is playing the traditional role of the girl at the front. While Tina Baun is one of the hardest female smashers in the world, her smashes won't do much damage against players like Boe or Morgensen. In addition, Tina Baun doesn't move as fast as LCW so she will get to some shots slower, which means Tina Baun & LCW will lose their attack advantage. They should pair LCW with a female partner that is good at the net and can get the opposing team to lift (ie. Vivian Hoo). That makes the best use of LCW's strength. If they try this formation against the stronger mixed pairs, I can't see them winning.
Really amazing to see LCW playing Mixed doubles. That too with Tine Baun. I never thought this combination even in my dreams. Wonderful decision by Mumbai Master's coaches and team manager to give us such a treat to watch them play together. Sai praneeth played brilliantly against Marc Zwiebler . It was a whisker that Marc won it using his experience and taking advantage of Sai's tiredness. He really looked tired at the end of the second half of the match and in the rubber. Hope to see more of him in the upcoming ties. What happened to H.S.Prannoy?? Why they did not let him play ??
http://sports.ndtv.com/othersports/...-badminton-league-thai-players-to-return-home did you guys hear this? thai players are leaving ibl
I suppose that's why they were asking Indonesia for more players to send. I wonder if this was the players plans all along? or if they wanted to see how it went then decide, and at what point ibl or the team were in the loop about it.
Some of yours favourite JG is opening her Big Mouth again for publicity her latest tweets read: http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/...ng-on-Taufik-Hidayat/articleshow/21957778.cms Seems she is really hurt
haha yesterday she managed to be irritating on the courtside, and today even when no matches are being played
It seems like Jwala is trying really hard to keep her name remembered by people. Yesterday, a woman who was sitting beside her resembled like her mother (chinese resemblance). Did anybody know anything about her??
