I'm confused. I thought Boe wasn't playing at this IBL. In his Tweet, he said he would never set foot in India again other than the Thomas Cup next year. And now, I see Boe playing with Kido in the IBL: http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/s...BC7C452A-CE2C-443C-9183-69C2FBB3C839&match=40 So what happened? That's like a 180 degree turn.
I am not getting it - this league was supposed to be played all over India. Today's matches are also being played in Delhi although they don't involve Delhi??
He himself called IBl organisers and reduced his price to half. i.e $25,000 for his inclusion in any team. And Fortunately, Thailand player got suspended by BWF and IBL also took his name out and included Boe after his request . . Then why in the first place he spoke in such a unsportsmanship way..??? Really funny.
Answer is future prospect of coaching a team on a much higher pay-scale http://in.news.yahoo.com/boe-replaces-jongjit-awadhe-warriors-114804871.html
Look at the schedule... All cities get 2 days each and every team plays there... then you have semi finals and finals... So each city can enjoy the max... The tournament is about involving Indian player, developing them and popularize it, otherwise if the goal was playing top players better organize a superseries tournament. And yes an Indian player is more marketable then any Olympic champion.... u see try auctioning Saina vs LXR or Sindhu against WYH at auction its likely to be similar in other countries...
