    thats the point!
some people claim if the AC really turning off its affected both players, but the true is its depend :
    - because each person react differently to heat. So it can be a weapon for one and useless for the other.
    - not to mention one didn't knew it, the other person who knew will take the control

For the MSF WC case one person get advantages and the other get sabotaged

anyway its not the first time China-CBA did something fishy-dirty kind of Conspiracy/Manipulating/Sabotage things...................its a long long history..............................................................................................................................

but this time it also dirtied Lin Dan reputation. SHAME cheater :p

If you won it with dignity and fair play, just like the other 4 honour WC (Wang Xiaoli/Yu Yang, Ratchanok Intanon, Liliyana/Tantowi, Hendra/Ahsan) there is no issue.

(ps. Oh I'm not a Malaysian neither a LCW fan & GOD know I was really admired LD before)

just believe what they want to believe, but the fact is there :)

    This thread is hopeless.

How on earth you are so firm that higher temperature benefits LD? Just because LCW cramped but LD did not cramp? As every sports player knows, there are many reasons for cramping...

I am really disappointed at what LCW said, that the high temperature affected him... maybe he should have lost even worst if having aircon fully on....

keep complaining, keep losing, who cares...

I think Msia team should keep focus to complain to BWF on LD's shirt changing offense. This could have a much higher chance to disqualify LD from his winning than the A/C issue.

That is not the point. Changing the conditions in the middle of a match, if it really happened, without telling the players, is unacceptable. Whoever it benefits. There is not much to do about it though.

You are spot on. The only point that was worth talking of with regards to a advantage/disadvantage gained between the players would have been a switch in drift. Not the heat or any of the other stuff that was equal for both. And we will never find out the truth on that.

One thing it has shown is that BWF need to get a better grip on these events, take more control of their events on every level to drive the sport forward and ensure the safety, fair play and enjoyment of such events.

What I could not understand is why badminton players are so fragile and subject to every difference in conditions which are common in other sports?

In view of the "unfairness" raised by BCers and "factors affecting performance" mentioned by LCW after WC13 finals, maybe BWF should write into rule in future that:
    - all competition venue must maintain a fixed temperature at xx deg Celsius. (Oh no but the xx def Celsius will be difficult to decide as every player shall adopt to different temperatures...)
    - all venue should comply with prescribed wind draft direction and speed (so that no one will have a home advantage by being more familiar with these conditions in the venue. Sounds like LCW won so many MO titles for a reason)
    - all matches in the same round must be started at the same time and finished at the same time (this is to ensure every player shall have the same time of rest before next round of match)
    - all players must consume the same energy levels (xx calories) in the same round (this is to make sure no players will be more exhausted before entering the next round, or no player shall give his opponent an easier match)

Badminton will be the pioneer in all sports (even more advance than tennis, soccer, NBA) to provide all constant background for competition.

Ah, maybe we should also make a clone from LD and name it LCW so that the physical conditions of the 2 players will be the same, make it an absolutely fair ground to play.

    :D

The saga continues...pathetic...and getting bolder, more desperate, shameless, hitting wildly like a frustrated, cowardly nut venting his spleen. As if simply hurling baseless allegations, malicious attacks and vicious name-calling can get one vindicated...NATO behind the ugly cloak of anonymity. A fool who realizes his mistake is wise to that extent but a fool who doesn't even know he's a fool, is a fool indeed.

CHN inflicted injury??? when it wasn't even caused by Peter Gade (his opponent) but Lee CW who injured himself when he twisted his ankle accidentally while retreating to the baseline to retrieve a shot - a flagrant, egregious lie, that's what it is, what else.

Hats off to Lee CW for praising Lin Dan as truly an extraordinary player, as one hero acknowledging another.

OK, CBA has acknowledged that Lin Dan flouted the rule by changing his shirt to a different coloured one during the match which entails a fine of USD250.

So basically it says LD gave Malaysia coach the opportunity (maybe on purpose?) to protest so that LCW can get some rest, yet Rexy did not take it. too bad.
