I also suspect KKK has meniscus/cartilage tear-out which he needs to go for small operation and not 100% back to normal even after operation.

I remember he use to be back court during Chong Tan Fook time. Do a lot jumping smash but not now.

when was the last time KKK/TBH beat a Korean pair?

it seems they have lost their last 20+ matches against Korea!

what is this ?? Election Fever is it ???

In that case we should all vote Lee Yong Dae as Prime Minister and Ko Sung Hyun as Member of Parliment... since they didn't lose to KKK/TBH for the past 20 matches... this equals 20 votes... hahaha

well, ok. to be fair, and to give credit to KKK/TBH. this thread is already 5 years old, and during this period, many very good pairs have come and dropped off the radar since.

to keep their "form" and still play for so many years, is an achievement in itself.

a bit tongue in cheek, but also there is a bit of truth to it. :)

That's very true, even though they don't always win, they do stay at the very top of the game.
In the whole spectrum of the game staying in the top 10 since debut is no easy task.
Never mind staying, just reaching world top 50 is tough for most nation's athletes.

I guess the only reason why badminton watchers harp on them so much is that they are top notch in every department except for mental fortitude.
They're fast, powerful, creative, and floppy, just like Taufik, minus a WC or OG title.
Still love to watch them play, as long as you don't give them your hearts for them to break :crying:

^^ In addition to mental fortitude, don't forget also lacking fitness, discipline, and consistency. The only downside of watching them play is one might "vomit blood" as they can be really good, but seem to waste their potential.

i think it has a lot to do with potential and expectation.

these two are, without much doubt, very talented players. they have at one point shown to the world how good they can be. they have a decent system supporting them, they have had the best coaches in the world, they don't need to deal with a day job along side badminton training. yet what they shown is in general lazy attitude and lack of heart and hardwork when they play.

the result is lack of achievement.

lack of achievement in itself is not a crime. many players don't achieve much, how many of the Japanese MD players or WD player actually achieve something? they do but much more rare. but we don't fault them a bit because they step into the court and they play 100+% and they put their heart out playing their badminton.

people tend to give more credit for people who work hard and don't achieve much than people who are talented but lazy.

and unfortunately to many people's eyes, esp to many of their countrymen, KKK/TBH falls into the latter category.

The Rubbish is currently WR No. 2:eek:

They simply play also can stay at no.2 place. if they play hard hard until underwear all wet, sure they r world no. 1.

    It's ok.
Hit a few shuttles here and there and that will see them through until their retirements since no pairs in MAS can dislodge them.

don't get me wrong - they r still one of the best pairs on this planet!!! BUT.. serious question... when was the last time they beat a korean pair? I am not joking... they must have lost their last 20 to 25 matches whenever they play korea, whether its LYD/JJS, Ko/Yoo, Ko/Lee, Kim/Kim etc you name a korean pair - TBH/KKK cant beat them!

Lost to GVS/LKW in Msia GP. Time for this pair to buck up and overtake KKK/TBH as Msia no. 1

their game to predictable??? imho, other pair have already improve or shud i say their game evolved withhin 2-3 years ago n kkk-tbh are still at the same level as 2007 :) i think BAM shud focus more on improving gws-lkw game rather than spending to much time upgrading kkk-tbh game... :) im not saying it's too late for them, but we shud start exposing new breed of players like what China, Indonesia and Korea do for the future... :)
