Absotulely, especially when Natsir is not young anymore for a women badminton player when 2016 Olympics arrives. Hope they can retain such superb performance!! HOORAY!! HOORAY!! And the first one from INA I guess
still a bit away from Zhang Jun / Gao Ling who won 3 titles total. and of course Gao Ling who won 5 with different partners!
Congratulations to Tantowi/Natsir, they played very well today. The defending champion deserves to retain the title.
always nice to be winner of the last event, their celebration can go on forever and no one force them to leave the stage for the next match.
NATSIR should have won 4 only if 2 first finals were won by her and NOVA, but too bad, just twice runner ups
they were so focus, well comunication between them and first time they came in into the court i could see that they really want it and they did. big congrats for both of them, duo ZZ looks so nervous i thin they havent back to their best yet
Congrats Towi/Butet..now I can sleep tight..and a nice dream ..too bad LCW lost but anyway, there's always a chance to repay it in the next tournaments
LCW's sole target is only the Olympics. But it's still 3 years to come and he's not young anymore. Hmm.. TOWI/BUTET made a great night for me also. So happy for them!! 33 years in the wait to come up with 2 titles in a row!! Unbelieveable!!
what a night. in the end, we have 3 winners from China (MS, MD, WD), one from Denmark and one from Indonesia. looking back, last year we also had 3 winners from China (MS, WS, WD), one from Indonesia and one from Korea. not much change in the diversity of the All England winners, but a good sign as there are new nations pushing their threshold and getting into the latter stages.
Ok....time to calm down after the euphoria of yet another AE title. Towi/Butet still have yet to beat Xu Chen/Ma Jin (H2H: 2-6) and Joachim Fischer-Nielsen/Christinna Pedersen (H2H: 1-2) since the Olympics 2012. Somehow, I felt that they prefer facing Zhang Nan/Zhao Yunlei (H2H is now 3-4), having beaten them twice in a row now. Let's see if they can meet the Danes next week in the Swiss Open.
China has always been so dominating in the last 10 years, but now more and more players from other countries can breakthrough The Great Wall. INA has 3 pair inside top ten for XD. Let's hope they can regain the old glory from INA XD back on 70's - 80's
Yesterday I was complaining about Chen Long having the bad habit of being a slow starter but today he surprised me by starting off with a run of 7 points and against LCW at that, incredible. I guess he's particularly hyped up every time he plays LCW.
