From 2010 to 2011, prize money increase significantly (from USD 300k to 1.2 million)...# of posts in BC also increase significantly (from 898 posts to 2,444 posts)...but why KBA reduce the prize money for 2012 edition (only USD 1 million) ? KBA count the # of posts in BC before make decision about Korea open status ? Dream on, limsy and sen hahaha :p

Angga/Rendy WON the AJC 2009 beating Ow/Yew (correct me if I was wrong). But their partnership only lasted till the WJC 2009 (while in the meantime, Angga was already paired with Rian for domestic circuits and the INA IC 2009).

It was Ulin/Berry who nearly beat Ow/Chooi during the Final of the WJC 2009. Angga/Rendy also lost to Ow/Chooi in the SF.

Dissapointing performance from Yeni Asmarani. The nerves got the best of her. Li Han at some points just waiting Yeni to make errors after errors. Firda would've been better match up, Li Han smashes and dropshots not quite fully developed yet, but it's effective to stop clunchy Yeni.

As for Angga/Rian, I never seen they are so unfocus, awkward and no game plan whatsoever.

Pity for spectators. They expect some explosive smashes and defence but all I ever watch were just some circus.

They need to find their feet soon enough if they dont want to fall behind emerging md future...

As predicted, INA camp only won 2 titles, same with last year edition outcome. INA always fails to bring WS & WD titles since 2010 INA GP Gold inauguration...:(
Three final matches were obviously one sided match, congrats to the champs :)

Worst case happened in MD and WS. Having 7 reps, but INA failed to deliver the title at MD and WS. And even in Final lost tamely.

    That was in the past.
As for Han Li's win, CHN usually send winnable candidates, based on the grade of the tournaments.

Congratulations to Sony Dwi Kuncoro for winning the INDONESIA OPEN GRAND PRIX GOLD BADMINTON 2012 men’s singles title. The win is Sony’s second grand prix gold win in 2012 and his continued good showing in grand prix tournaments is very encouraging. Hopefully he will compete just as well in a super series tournament and win a SS title soon.
The said Indonesian tournament was a disaster for the men’s players with Simon Santoso (S1), Sho Sasaki (S2) and Tommy Sugiarto (S3) losing in the quarter finals.
The same goes for the women’s top seeds with Liu Yin (S1) and Belaetrix Manuputi (S4) bowing out in round 1 and Xing Aiying (S3) in round 2.
The Korean third men’s doubles pair of Kim Ki Jung/Kim Sa Rang showed their win over the 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] seeded pair of Koo Kien Kiet/Tan Boon Heong at the Yonex Open Japan 2012 tournament was no flash in the pan when they won again. This pair is definitely on the way up.

Ooohhh, some random jack@$$ is desperately trying to troll every active threads to provoke other members... only to find himself largely ignored. Poor kid. :p

Common, you make it sound like the eventual winners beat ALL 7 INA reps en route to the champ podium.

BTW, congrats to all winners. As for Sony... way to go, daddy! :)

Let me make it clear. I do not wish the Korea to downgrade their tournament. I wish they would continue to give high prize money.

However, after reading Fortune's post http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...-Qualification-to-FINAL?p=1976462#post1976462

I was laughing on the floor for 2 days.

Because Fortune wrote "Number of posts in BC are the deciding factor" and "Malaysia SS should be SSP, replace China or Korea SSP" and there is news that Korea wants to hold only SS and not the premier.

I am seldom negative comment person. I don't think you ever find me wrote in my past posts, "worst SS" or not deserving this status, that status.

I read Fortune and limsy argument. Sorry about my sarcasm about the number of posts but I just found it very funny to read the news about Korean Open and Fortune's post. Such a coincidence...
