Shelly-Ann was almost jogging to the finish line in the 100 m heats.
Hopefully, she or someone else can come close to Flo-Jo's 24-year old WR of 10.49 s, or her OR of 10.62 s.

Can't see anyone being able the men's record of 9.58 s this time.

    Shelly-Ann won with a time of 10.75 s.
    Flo-Jo is untouchable!

Anyone knows how many athletes each NOC can be represented in any particular athletic event?

I just noticed there are three athletes from the same NOC in some running event. Is three the cap?

Just wonder if athletic is more generous than badminton, so any NOC can send up to 3 contestants in one event without much hassle.

If he didn't stumble a bit at the start of race, he might've lowered his world record mark from 9.58 to 9.5?;)

That's too bad...She has wasted all of her potential....

On other hand, where is BLANKA KAVCIC ??

She missed much of the season, is she gonna compete in OG high jump ???

Without her, Rowe of USA is definite gold...

Unless they put back to old rule that allows 1 false start, everyone will be too cautious at the start that it's even tougher to break the record.

Lightnings strikes twice indeed.. Impressive run once again.. Luckily the bottle incident didn't affect bolt's run...

    Vlasic I presume? :D

Not competing no, injured most of the season and not in shape ...

Isinbayeva already went back to her old coach a year ago but obviously too short to undo the "damage" from the previous six years.

I'm surprised that he eased off a little in the 200m sprint instead of trying harder to break the WR. An athlete doesn't have that many opportunities to do so in the Olympics.
