Yes, absolutely stunning skill. Breathtaking. His net play today simply amazing. Very talented player. Anyway congrats Chen Long. He hang in there, I think he is quite mature mentally lately. Good to see.
CL is basically raw speed and power, technique needs polishing, and what happened to his sharp attacking play vs LCW in the past, no longer evident? He's become a bit too cautious, rallying too much, always biding his time and not initiating the attack enough. But then against a superb defender as LHI, very few can outplay him by going for a fierce attacking game except obviously for Lin Dan and Lee CW. In today's match, I'm somewhat surprised that LHI is the more impatient and anxious player, not usual for him.
Well, not saying anything against the MAS who has a fighting chance to win bronze, this play-off is almost cruel for the KOR CJS/LYD, wonder if they can settle into the game.
Unfortunately, MAS MD lost G1 when they have the advantage and that probably signals the end of their bronze medal hope but, as they say, it ain't over 'til it's over.
we are moving over to the other thread to follow the MD matches! http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...mpics-Day-9-Men-s-Double-Finals-(Gold-Bronze)
Congrats to CL for winning the bronze. Very tough for LHI for a fourth place twice in a row. But he already give his best. (Not like some pairs in the bronze matches) CL still had room to improve obviously. And with so many players retired and getting older and older, look like he will dominate the badminton MS in years to come.
As 99% of us predicted (except fo Malaysia die hard fans), again the whole Malaysia nation is depending LCW to win a medal in Olympic. (KKK/TBH just fil to deliver the bronze) The question is: Gold or Silver?
