You are assuming here that there was intention, apart from that, the sentence of yours I have quoted is so nearly there you have nearly got it. What you said is key to the cycling incident because no fuss was made hence no sport in disrepute. Not even by the referee.
Nope. I saw your post where you said that you saw the cycling event. I wrote that post as a friendly reminder to those who haven't see the cycling event, not to you and some other people. I'm very sorry if you felt offended. EDIT : you -> to you
IOC clears British cyclist of deliberate crash By GRAHAM DUNBAR, AP Sports Writer – 8 hours ago LONDON (AP) — An apparent deliberate crash by British track cycling gold medalist Philip Hindes for tactical reasons is not being investigated, the International Olympic Committee said Friday.
Which is why I said in my OP "if the articles are accurate" were that article quotes the guys saying "We were saying if we have a bad start, we need to crash to get a restart. I just crashed, I did it on purpose to get a restart, just to have the fastest ride. I did it. So it was all planned, really." Therefore the fan didn't and couldn't know that the results were fraudulent, if the fans had known, I assume you would agree with me that there would be a big fuss about it. I think the IOC at least owes it to pressure the Cycling people for a clearer explanation as there seems to be some doubt, just like they made the BWF do.
You should watch it, it was pretty funny, the commentator commented that it was like he had never ridden a bike before looked embarrassing for the rider more than anything.
1) Hindes has only been speaking English for two years. The story is now that something was lost in translation/he didnt understand properly some question that was asked. Not sure I believe that tbh. He seemed fluent enough in some interview I saw on youtube. 2) re-starts are not that uncommon in this format (according to ITN interview). 3) The contest went ahead (finally) with all parties trying their best to win...
4 seconds? Thank goodness it wasn't the Chinese doing it, or there would be another drug-suspicion scandal in this Olympics.
The articles are accurate in quoting the boy it is just that it is irrelevant what the boy said. Your op was about hypocrisy with what happened between cycling and badminton and as you see there is none, zero.
Yes. It's so unfair that people suspect china of doping when a female swimmer out-paces men at same stage of equivalent race. I mean, it's not like they have a history of it. Oh, my bad. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doping_in_China
nah! Chinese coach would have said for them to peddle backward to save energy for final gold medal whilst keeping their middle digit raised to the crowd joking
The other point would be proof. The rest of the British team said No such thing it wasn't planned. The 19 yr old later also said he was only joking. How to proof with concrete evidence tbe fall was deliberate unless there vouce/video recording of them planning it.
Joking or not, she had already sound out a very sensitive and serious statement regarding their gold medal... she should have know the consequence of it before she said the statement..
doesn't the Olympic organizer held a doping test for each athlete before they compete in their sports?
Seems like you do believe in anything you read. Irony? Or perhaps you believe in what you chose to believe in...
really? too bad, i personally wish they tested all the athletes. by that way, no one later can try to tarnish some athlete achievements by such poor issue on doping thing. even if it's just a rumour or gossip, it's still not fair for the athletes, not to mention they who win it fairly.
No Irony. 1. It was a TV interview not written. 2. He was found not guilty, this is reality, this is what i believe in reality.
