I'm hoping to see Mr Backhand, Taufik Hidayat, pull off the biggest upset of the Olympics. I know that fear is probably at the back of Lin Dan's mind too.

Lin Dan will beat Lee Chong Wei in the finals and all Lee Chong Wei can do will be bend over and accept it. Just like in Beijing, after that match, LCW was never the same again playing against LD.

What do you mean, never the same again playing against LD? LCW has beaten LD not a few times, the gap has closed and don t you notice how tense LD appears on court when facing LCW recently?

Yesterday saw two dark horses getting eliminated from the Olympics: Boonsak Ponsana and Caroline Marin (though she is WS, she is the best dark horse in the competition)

Whose left in the dark horse list ?

    Rajiv Ouseph
    Kevin Cordon
    Taufik Hidayat
    Lee Hyun-il

Wonder what happened to Tago... Perhaps he's under too much of pressure from the Japanese camp?

Watched de match, i tink he was in relax mode, perhaps not wanting to have his injuries acting up..Hopefully, it will be beta as the games progresses....

Looks like Chen Long is going to win the Olympics, if history holds true as he has a good chance to be the one who knocks Peter Gade out! Peter Gade has only been knocked out by opponents who go on to win the Gold. Still hope PG can win though!

I think so too... CL has been a solid player this past year.

But I really want Taufik to win it or atleast win a medal just to silence all his critics once and for all in this last tournament he's playing in.

Lee Chong Wei is not in form... lost a set to Ville Lang

Whereas Lin Dan, Chen Jin, Peter Gade and Chen Long all won their matches fairly easily in 2 sets against 'minors'
