Just not used to seeing LCW runner-up to a non-Chinese, since two years ago as Miqilin pointed out

Shon Wan Ho had taken LCW to three games 2 times before, this time he played even more attacking than the last time they played. That's why he won.

His net play and power was too much today. Just face it.

Net play. how many times were there 4/5 net shots in a row? And since Shon has a decent smash, he was able to take his opportunities.

LCW is clearly rankled, but you have to respect the man as the hardest working guy in badminton.

But....I have to give the finger to the status quo, and say.....Go the Ho!!!!!

Actually my bad...it was Boonsak Ponsana in the Asian Games 2010 Group Match, after that defeat, he has never lost to anyone except Lin Dan and Chen Long since then...

Now Shon Wan Ho has inspired everyone else to work hard against Lee Chong Wei....so he is gonna be in a for a big treat in London...

Whereas Lin Dan, well you need more than just skill to beat Lin Dan loll..

Back to Li Xuerui....who in the world can defeat her now......

I can't believe what i have just seen..she actually produced shots similar to Wang Yihan's and Wang Shixian's slice crosscourt. Knowledge thief!

The last player to beat her was Bae Younjoo.

What a shocker! For those who predicted or even entertained the thought that Shon would beat LCW today, I've to hand it to you, my respects.

Susi Susanty on her prime year could easily beat this chinese girl. Let's see if Li Xuerui can get 2 medals on 2 different olympics.

Shon will only get better to beat the WR1. Maybe he's now thinking "I'm now "WR1+". His self confidence has zoomed sky high!

Come to think of it we haven't seen much of the other young aspirant from Japan. Will he wield as much surprise as Shon?

LCW's confidence won't be affected by one defeat. He will come back stronger when it matters. But this win will certainly boost Shon's confidence.

Thanks, but..... have you watched him play before? He's a massive talent. All he needed was some better psychology, and now he's got this win under his belt.......watch this space!

But sadly I must depart for bed. I'm gunna go for the underdog double-down and put my chips on the Thai fellas.

It's just that kinda night :D

I wouldn't say that. It will be an embarassment to the great Susi.
