This time he could be at a first class restaurant treating Shon Wan Ho to a sumptuous meal by way of thanks, so no mood nor necessity to play Kashyap. Later he would ask Kashyap for a small treat too.:D If anybody happens to see him there, please tell him someone may want to kick his axx:D

There's a saying "The best of plans can go awry". True, Chen Jin has been playing continually these past few months, probably drained and jumped at the first opportunity to take a much-needed break, and probably would lose if he plays tomorrow because the outcome doesn't matter anymore.

Many PAWers would want to kick his axx too. :D:D:D

Because all these walkovers can throw our PAW Games upside down.

So chen jin's mission is 100 percent accomplished in India since Peter Gade lost in his match today.
Everybody clearly knows what is his intention after he conceded a walkover to Kasyap just now:D

I was starting to think I was hallucinating, but glad to know I was not. I was really looking forward to CJ vs PG in the semi.

This is not true. Shon Wan Ho already qualified for London with his semifinal berth. If he loses tomorrow he will be 58(!) points ahead of Wang Zhengming as he lost yesterday. So this means currently HKV is 15, Shon is 16 and Wang Zhengming is 17! So Chen Jin couldn't have kept Shon out of the Olympics anyway!

I am not surprised about chen Jin's walkover. He must be very tired after playing so many tournament. It was quite unfair to Chen Jin really. As 5th world ranking player then he had to play so hard to qualify for Olympics. Congratulations to Chen Jin!!

Why do people concern about SWH qualifying Olympics? DPY, WZM and possibly HKV can't play in Olympics anyway because of rule and regulations. So, I think he already qualified for Olympics.

Dont you guys get it ?!!!!

Chen Jin get to rest after a tiring game and also prevented Ajay Jayaram from playing in the London Olympics.

Ajay Jayaram is far more dangerous than Kashyap to be fielded in the Olympics...One dark horse out of the way...

    A very clever plan..

My bad. I was paying too much attention between SWH and HKV that I've completed forgotten that both of them have gone past WZM in this tournament :).

He didn't quality until this tournament.

Korea can only field both LHI and SWH if SWH is ranked within top 16 in the world. Even though DPY and HKV are not eligable to the Olympics, their existing rankings still affect whether SWH's ranking is within top 16 or not.

We no longer know who are our best Badminton players any more

    .
The reason is plain to see why certain players give walkovers.

It is because certain players can get certain advantages for themselves and/or for their teammates (to score better ranking points). Or, to gift other players who are not a threat to them with more ranking points.

But we have to admit this: When Badminton is manipulated in such a manner, we no longer know who are our best Badminton players any more.:eek::eek:

Spot on, one of the biggest motivation behind the walkover is to also eliminate Ajay Jayaram from the draw... Kashyap is an easier fish to fry whereas Ajay can actually create an upset if the Chinese are not careful.. Lee Chong Wei was taken by surprise before...so yea one threat out of the way...moving forward

Bodin Issara/Maneepong Jongjit vs Angga Pratama/Rian Agung Saputro - it was an excellent result for Angga/Rian yesterday, beating Koo/Tan for the 2nd time in a row. Now, they need to maintain their form and beat the young and dangerous Thai pair. Remember, the INA pair lost to the Thais once last year, in the Summer Universiade Individual Event.

    XD SF
Lee Yong Dae/Ha Jung Eun [3] vs Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir [2] - this will be a stern test of Towi/Butet's credential. The absence of the top-seed Xu/Ma, the 2 Danish pairs, and of course Zhang/Zhao makes Lee/Ha the highest-ranked opponent for Towi/Butet in India. I hope the INA pair can continue their good run and win this India SS.

I certainly recommend BWF to change the rules and regulations and gives bigger prices in such a way that players from the same country still have motivation to compete with each other.

For me, the strongest opponent for Towi/Lily is actually Mas xd Chan/Goh.

Seeing that they've been eliminated yesteday make smoothier journey for Ina if they can defeat Lee/Ha today

As for Ryan/angga, they already exceeds expectation here so make it to finals will be a bonus...

Shon Wan Ho must be happy and thankful to Chen Jin

But lets see if he can take this w/o to his advantage and win today. If he loses, the chance to get into final and reach #16 spot will be put to waste...
