Just found out about this site.

It contains videos of various lengths showing badminton techniques. There are a few free samples to view and others on a pay-per-view basis. The videos are of very good quality, but a fast connection is needed.

The videos are made by Lee Jae Bok, former korean doubles champion and a well respected coach.

    Hi Neil

At the moment the videos need quite a high Broadband Internet Connection to stream properly. We are currently working on reducing the file sizes to make the clips play better. Also, I'm afraid none of the videos currently on the site play using 56K Dial-up. I know a lot of the guys and girls on this forum are pretty smart regarding video for the web. We would welcome any feedback and suggestions as to how we can improve any aspect of either the video clips or the website generally.

    Best regards

Yes you're right, I watched him working on some of it on his laptop, very talented.

Very impressive site, well worth a visit and registering, Lee's a very talented coach and his powers of description are immense, his enthusiasm for badminton never wanes.
If anyone gets the chance to go on one of his courses, you will find them very rewarding.

Skates and Jonno maybe see you in Wycombe again if Lee requires me to help him out as last time.

Jonno are you playing for Oxfordshire this year ?

Skates do you know if Lee is going to put a video on the site of his 5 shot deception exhibition ?
He always catches me out with that double deception, I'm sure people would love to see it.

    Hi Gerry

Lee has great plans for IBBS. At the moment we are still in post production preparing videos to put up on the site. However, In a few weeks we will start filming again and I will certainly suggest we video the 5 shot deception. His deceptions are very popular and more clips are planned.

Hmmm...I'm on a 5mb/sec (that's bytes not bits! :D ) connection and I can't get the free introduction video to stream. The site looks good though.

Sorry you are having problems viewing the clips. We very much want this to work well and we are making every effort to make the clips accessible to as many users as possible. We are aiming to reduce the file size to make the clips stream better. Also, the next batch of clips will have improved sound quality.

In the meantime we would welcome any and all feedback from forum members.
Please let us know if you can access the videos and the speed of your broadband connection.

    Thank you

Thanks Kwun. Yes, It was me. :) For the last two months I've been very busy designing and developing IBBS website. It sure wasn't easy when you have a day job (software development ofcourse) and working during evening and weekends on IBBS. I've been working flatout for 12-16 hours a day and because of these busy schedule I've missed some good badminton workshops in High Wycombe. Skates helped me a lot with website graphics and site content and without his help I couldn't have completed IBBS on time.

There is still plenty of work need to be done and lots of new features, videos and other stuffs are coming soon. I really can't tell what they are due to client's confidentiality but I'm really very excited about it.

Please let me or skates know if you guys have any technical problems or complaints or suggestions with IBBS website.

Currently we are working on making videos available for dial-up users and better streaming. Video streaming works fine with broadband connetion. Sometimes some videos freezes when the title of the video fades and lee's explanations starts but after the inital lag it streams ok. Still some work need to be done in those areas and we are addressing it.

    Enjoy Badminton guys!!

I'm on 1Mbps (Mega bytes :) ) connection and it streams ok for me. Sometimes there is a lag between video title fading and just before lee's explanation starts but after that it streams ok. We are addressing it and we hope to get new versions of these videos which will stream from 56 Kbps (kilo bits) dial-up to broadband. If necessary I will recommend to lee to buy another server and load balance the servers for better performance and better streaming.
    Thanks. :)
