The whole world is watching now and eyes will be on the lower half draw consisting Lin Dan and Chen Jin.

Unless Wong Wing Ki beat Chen Jin, will we see another pretentious act from Lin Dan to see Chen Jin thru ?

He could lose on purpose to Ajay Jayaram, that would spark hot outburst, or alternatively lose to Abian to avoid a straight forward walkover.

    What do you think ?

What about option 3? They play against eachother and Super Dan loses the match. That would be a bit less abrupt/rude and it might be fun to watch.

On the other hand, imagine CJ screwing up so bad he loses by accident :p. I think we'll first have to see what WWK can bring to the game against CJ.

No, I think LD will beat Chen Jin. I read a few articles that LD is feeling bad of losing purposely. I think he will keep on winning every match till Olympic and retire.

i don't believe team CHN should let Chen Jin in as the No 4.
Of course, Chen Jin can still qualify and make the decision later.
    this is what i posted earlier on another thread;

This will be quite frustrated for LD due to CJ's situation. No one can tell if LD will give the game to CJ or not. Personally, I hope LD will move up. CJ is kind of hopeless.

Chen Jin might lose in 1st round to the same guy who beat him last week. Chen Jin is not that good since that injury end of last year.

If Chen Jin can advance to QF then the order will come to escort him all the way to the final else will be hard for CJ to qualify the Olympic. All England title may be the dream of many but I don't see anybody in Team China will disobey the order. Ethically is wrong but strategically makes sense, I would think any other nation would do the same if put into the same situation.
To me, there's something Chong Wei can do to stop the max quota in MS from Team China ... if Peter really gets that far meeting Chong Wei in the SF on the other half of the draw then let Peter win. If you can't beat the system then just join it, bottom line is setting up an easier path to obtain Gold in Olympic.

No point thinking about CJ. He is not going to beat LCW.

Only a 3 horse race now. LD, CL and LCW. ;)

The rest are just side shows... kelefe... lol. ;)

    For MD still open. ;)

Please provide the article link, Qidong.
IMO, if he has being asked by those questions he should say that there are no match fixing & whatsoever, as an athlete sometimes we just get caught on a bad day.

I also agree with a|extan that CBA headquarter made the final decision & it has to be implemented whatever the reasons are. I heard CBA also had the power to force a retirement.

I never bookmarked these kind of articles. I may have used the wrong wording - he never used the word "on purpose". They were interviews early last year that he said he felt bad and disappointed the fans and his mom (I remembered he mentioned his mom) because he didn't perform well in some of the tournaments. He promised he will try very hard to win every match.

If taufik loses this one, it means 13 years of playing in AE, he still failed to capture a title..

Worse still, even Hafiz Hashim has won it before ;P

    Really! Seriously!
I hope all these are pure speculation or CBA should be banned from participating in all international sports events. Game fixing is a big no no in any sport and everyone cares enough about badminton should uphold the spirit of honesty and fairness.

lol, totally agreeed with you, only a 3 horse race from now on, and particularly the 2 of the more superior horses, LD and LCW.

As for CL...hmm, 1st ever Olympics huh? feeling nervous, aren't you? Will we see the repeat of Athens 2004 where LD was crushed by Ronald Susilo and this time around will haunt CL, we will see.

My bet will be the repeat of Beijing 2008 Finals. The 2 greatest of all, both compete for GOLD before both retire, their last Olympics outing. LD will want to retire as the only player to get 2 Olympics GOLD in a row, and LCW will be hunting for his 1st ever GOLD to make his country proud. Will he be able to stop LD once and for all and beat LD at the highest stage of badminton? Both will for sure at their absolute best of best. The world will be watching! To London 2012 yay..!!

BWF will be recording all matches involving same countries...fearing of betting and match fixing...anyway...betting is not new as well as match fixing..dont tell me that CBD didnt fix some matches....and some asian players lose purposely to get bigger purse from the betting....BWF had known this for quite sometimes...
