Realistically if they had picked a more experienced and solid MS3 they could more than likely beat Germany 3-2 taking MS2/3 and MD2 ... but they didn't (though I haven't seen the German nominations yet and they have much depth in MS for those 2/3 spots). Ridder is an option but no longer ahead of the new breed. I'm sure these nationals will clarify which names should perhaps have been in contention in a system where the best are picked to represent.

National, but unlike many countries where that ranking is based on a few ranking tournaments many more factors make up the ranking: league play, cup play, national championships, circuit tournaments, international BWF tournaments, a few big international junior tournaments and a couple more events (each possible result assigned a certain amount of points).

10 best results over a 52 week period counted (current system since 2009)

If you hadn't noticed, but I'm sure you have, the seedings listed are for both the qualifying part (1-8) and main (1/4-4/4) just to be confusing :D.

For the record, Badzine's list of links went up a day earlier than Badminton Europe's, on January 30th, in fact. The 'second article' you found was really a reminder. The links page had already appeared in the 'Hot links' sidebar, on Facebook, and was linked to from the '2012 Results' page. Only two non-ts links have been added since you checked, for England and France.

No wonder they are both (still) incomplete then ;)

Oops, incorrect thread.

So are there any supplements to the incomplete lists available? So far I don't think I've seen anything new here.

Smash winner from Jorgensen brings up game point again, 21-20, and this time he takes it 22-20. 3rd game to decide this match.

05.02.12 High fives for Ouseph and Cann, two titles apiece to Adcock and White

http://www.badmintonengland.co.uk/s...Adcock+and+White&section=13&sectionTitle=News

"IT WAS high fives at the Bolton Arena today as Elizabeth Cann collected her fifth women’s singles title at the English National Badminton Championships while Rajiv Ouseph took the men’s singles crown for a record fifth consecutive year. But Nathan Robertson’s bid to equal Mike Tredgett’s record of 16 National doubles title ended in disappointment as he and Jenny Wallwork lost their mixed doubles title to last year’s runners-up Chris Adcock and Gabby White, who finished with two titles apiece.

[IMG] [IMG]
Jersey star Cann defeated Yorkshire’s Kate Robertshaw, playing in her first National final, 21-19 21-17 and the Commonwealth bronze medallist’s victory made up for last year’s shock first-round exit and meant that she has never lost a National final.

World No. 24 Ouseph, the Commonwealth silver medallist from Hounslow in Middlesex, overcame close friend Carl Baxter of Kent for the fourth year in a row.
After winning 21-18 21-14 he said: “It’s a tough thing to win it five times but it’s special because I don’t think anyone has done it before. “The reason I’m as good as I am is largely down to Carl pushing me.”
Wallwork and White had earlier made it a hat-trick of titles when they defeated Mariana Agathangelou (Avon) and Heather Olver (Sussex) for the third year running in a close final. The Leeds duo won 21-16 18-21 21-16. The scores were level at 15-15 in the decider before the Yorkshire pair’s four-point burst proved decisive.
In the men’s doubles Adcock made up for three final defeats when he and Andy Ellis (Yorkshire), the 2011 runners-up, defeated defending champion and 2007 and 2008 runner-up Chris Langridge (Surrey) and new partner Peter Mills (Notts) 24-22 21-12.

Then, with Robertson (Notts) playing his last Nationals before retirement, he and Wallwork went down to an eager and determined Adcock and White 21-18 17-21 21-14 in a 54-minute tussle.
