After playing so many long previous matches by her, can Pi Hongyan [6] use her experience to defeat Chen Xiaojia (the youngster from China)? I think this will the 'Match of the Day'.

The other good one to follow should be the Tommy Sugiarto [7]-vs-D.Hayom Rumbaka [8] match. One of them should prove to be the best rising MS star for Indonesia.

So far, there is no mention about Icuk Sugiarto and Li Mao at this tournament.

Are both of them coaches at court-side to help their charges?

Feel there won't be any upset...eventually the titles will be distributed between CHN & INA :p

btw somehow i get the feel that there's no week without tournament...there are so many nowadays, have not counted it yet how many tournaments in total one year, from Gold Grandpix level to higher, individuals and team events opened to all qualified (excludes all region-limited ones e.g. SEA Games, Asian Games, Pan American Games and so on).

You're right! Here is a link that will let you browse through all the BWF-run tournaments.

TS provides you information on even smaller "regional" tournaments held all over the world:

Use the drop-down boxes or filter tabs for more specific information... :)

    Haha.. no..
Icuk Sugiarto is tommy's father.. (he is also helping tommy on training. Because he is no longer in pelatnas).
Tommy used to be in Pelatnas (Indonesian national Training), but then, his achievment was not really bright there, and he rarely sent to some internasional tournaments by pelatnas, although he is a good player. So, he was so dissapointed and then he chose to quit and become a professional badminton player.

While, Hayom is in Pelatnas. Li Mao is his coach now..

So, this match is about tommy (non-pelatnas) vs Hayom (pelatnas).. Which one is better I think?

I hope MAS girls win. It would be an achievement to beat the newly crowned JO champions.

Another half an hour to go before the first match starts.

Players should be now polishing their rackets ready to do battle.

Try harder, for whenever there is a will there is a way

    .
I am ready. Hope that Vivian K.M.H./Woon K.W. will be ready too. :):):)

However, I think Bao Y.X./Zhong Q.X. [8] will be a tough pair to defeat. But as they say "Try harder, for whenever there is a will there is a way". :D:D:D
