yeah but a cruel fact told us that being runner up in major is BIG enough for malaysian to remember such as wch in 2003 wc,lcw in 2008 OG hmm
its sad to hear such facts when they start to compare the past and the present and only the color of medals is important. they always forgot a lot of things has changed as time past by. its called evolution, just like mitsubishi evo 10 it started from evo 1 presently, evo 1 can't match the engine of the latest mitsubishi sedan its called technology.....
Thursday April 14, 2011 The Star Kien Keat and Boon Heong can get back into the groove By KNG ZHENG GUAN PETALING JAYA: In the absence of several top ranked pairs, the India Open from April 26-May 1 provides a stage for Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong to bounce back from a shock defeat in the Kuala Lumpur Open last week. The Malaysian No. 1 pair are the top seeds in the Super Series tournament in New Delhi and they open their campaign in the second round against Attri Manu-Jishnu Sanyal of India. Kien Keat-Boon Heong are expected to face their first real test in the quarter-finals against South Koreans Cho Gun-woo-Kwon Yi-goo in their half of the draw which also has world No. 10 Hirokatsu Hashimoto-Noriyasu Hirata of Japan. China are not sending their shuttlers to India while the top Korean pairs, Lee Yong-dae-Jung Jae-sung and Ko Sung-hyun-Yoo Yeon-seong, are also not in the fray. In with a chance: In the absence of several top doubles pairs, Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong are favourites to win the India Open title. This has paved the way for Kien Keat-Boon Heong to win their first title since the Malaysian Open last year and silence critics regarding their performance on the world stage. National doubles coach Rexy Mainaky has brushed off Kien Keat-Boon Heong’s lethargic performances that led to a shock defeat by former world junior champions Chooi Kah Ming-Ow Yao Han in the quarter-finals of last week’s KL Open, which was the first of a two-leg national circuit. He maintained that his charges are on track in their bid to achieve success at the world championships in London in August. “There are off days for players and unfortunately for Koo and Tan, it was at the KL Open,” said Rexy. “Their ultimate goal is to do well at the world championships. But it will be good if they can win a title before that. And I hope they will achieve it at either the India Open or the home tournament (Malaysian Open GP Gold).” Despite their barren title run, Kien Keat-Boon Heong have been performing quite well in recent tournaments bar the setback in the domestic tournament last week. Thus far this year, they reached the semi-finals of the Korean Open and German Open and emerged as the runners-up at the All-England. For All-England quarter-finalists Hoon Thien How-Mohd Zakry Abdul Latif, they have a first-round match in the India Open against Utsav Mishra-Ravinder Singh with the winners getting a match against third seeds Alvent Yulianto-Hendra Gunawan of Indonesia. The other Malaysian pair in the fray, Chan Peng Soon-Tan Wee Kiong play against India’s S. Sanjeeth-Jagadish Yadav in the first round. Peng Soon also features in the mixed doubles as the fifth seeds with Goh Liu Ying and they have an opening match against Tarun Kona-Ashwini Ponnappa of India. The Malaysians in the men’s singles competition are world No.1 Lee Chong Wei and Liew Daren.
Hope its not like an election campaign??? Freak, how come u become dbl fans? U sucks in singles is it? lol.
Instead of becoming a combination between Datuk LCW and LD, he will become a combination between KKK and TBH
One using left hand and one using right hand. Freak, you have to use your head to play man. It's in between. lol.
We saw the more serious KKK/TBH last night at the Sudirman Cup. Good job defeating the INA pair. Nevertheless, what's with the kamikaze-style Yonex bandana?
It means they mean business this time, a change in their mindset to be more aggressive and I think they were holding samurai instead of rackets
KKK/TBH should start aiming to beat their boogeyman....JPN pairs, Koo/Yoo of KOR and the top pairs from KOR, CHN, DEN and INA today will start with LYD/JJS.....
