INA pairs are infamous for throwing away huge leads. Look at Bona/Ahsan and AG/Alvent's matches today. Sigh.....this problem is forever haunting INA MD, WD, or XD pairs.

Phew...Hendra A. Gunawan/Alvent Yulianto Chandra eventually beat last week's India SS winner Hirokatsu Hashimoto/Noriyasu Hirata 21-15, 17-21, 22-20. The INA pair saved 2 match pts, despite throwing away a 15-10 lead at the third-set. They will face Cho Gun Woo/Kwon Yi Goo for a place in the Final.

Btw, is Bona or Ahsan injured/sick? Weird that they lost in straight sets to unknown Dutch pair

NTM beat SDK by default 21-18, 5-1, as the latter retired. Was it due to his back injury resurfacing? I dare venture to say that SDK at this stage won’t be able to beat NTM even if it was a full match. NTM will next meet BCL and it’s 50:50 for one of them to win to go to the final.

CPS/GLY (6) upset SP/ST (1) 25-27, 21-17, 21-14. This is a belated birthday gift for CPS and it is good for Malaysia for a change.
Sho Sasaki (11) caused another upset by beating PSH (6) 12-21, 21-8, 21-16. I think he is now the best Japanese MS player. He is dangerous, has the stamina to last 3 games and winning at that.
Other upsets are the loss of JYJ (3) to SJH (7) and MA/BS (3) to Ruud Bosch/Koen Ridder (U) who will be up against KKK/TBH in the SF. SN should beat SJH and meet WX in the final.

This is unfair to INA pairs. Koo/Tan are no 1 in throwing away huge leads!
